Choosing tires...

I purchased racing tires fro one of my rides but, when I choose it in tuning, it only gives an explanation and a close box. ??

I have this problem too, in fact I don't seem to be able to change the tyres on any of my cars in tuning menu, only upgrade when I buy them, but not downgrade back to stock tyres. I don't have the little checkboxes other parts have, and the tyre boxes say front and rear but the description is in the middle. And like you say, if you click on the box it just tells you what they are and you can only close it.

Really weird, also for the DOME Zero I couldn't upgrade the tyres at all even if I chose to install them when I bought them. It still has comfort tyres, which B-Spec Bob no like.

Can anyone else please check to see if they can re-choose their tyres once they've bought them? Thanks

OHHHHHHH, oooops, i was just about to add my name to the list of people mystified by changing tires

It might be for you, but for me that pretty much brings up the same Tuning menu and it's exactly the same. I still can't swap out my tyres. Do you have check boxes by the tyres to choose them? Or can you click on different ones you have and install them?

If so I either have a wack copy of the game or have been hit by a really nasty bug along the way.

I bet same people that don't know about tire changing don't know that the horn sometimes well move the AI out of your way..........Same with flashing the headlights.

Go to driving options, not settings. Make sure you also own the tires and that they belong to that car via an install.

Actually I still can't change the tyres of the DOME so that does seem to be a bug, lets you buy them but you can't fit them. Shame cause it's a neat little car, and was out of my reach in GT4 as it needed all golds in the licences or something. Perhaps PD will notice and fix it in an update.

If you don't install the tires when you buy them, they don't get attached to the car. They instead go in your items list.

I knew that, was just being a total noob about changing the tyres despite having advanced quite far in the game! Also the reason I couldn't change the Dome's tyres before the race was because that race was restricted to comfort tyres, first time i'd realised. This game definitely has an odd kinda learning curve, finding new stuff all the time
