In case some rage against the machine fans didn't know already, Chris Cornell hooked up with RATM minus Zack De LaRocha. the new bands is Audioslave.

I've heard the new single "Cochise" and its really good. the albums comes out Nov. 19th. if the single is any indication this album is gonna rock.
 
I agree the single shows promise. I liked Soundgarden, and I liked RATM. The only thing stopping me from loving RATM were the incredibly annoying vocals, so with Zack out of the picture maybe Auidoslave will get it working.
 
I've never been a big Soundgarden fan, but this song was worth the download just for the guitar. Tom Morello is so amazing. If only Zack would come back.

I like Zack's voice. Hmmph.

I heard the single and thought it sounded a hell of a lot like Rage Against the Machine, except for the vocals. Now I know why.
 
Zack sucks. I hate his voice, and I hate his whiny left-wing welfare socialist politics even worse.

I'd give $50 for a rip of RATM's first album with no vocal tracks.
 
Zack is an awesome rapper, no way around it. I don't even pay attention to all the political messages in their music when I listen to Rage. Zack is also great at expressing his emotions through his voice, although his mood is almost always a pissed-off one in their songs, you can always tell the degree of his pissed-offness by his voice. If he ever makes a solo CD, I'll be among the first to buy it. Unless it's like some of the solo stuff I heard by him, in which he isn't actually rapping, but just speaking about politics.
