Chrome for Android Issue

Starting around a week ago, the site (most notably the Realistic Photo Thread) has been causing Chrome on my Galaxy Note 3 to crash quite regularly. It could be a simple hardware issue but, the site has no crashing issues on my Galaxy S2. Which leads me to believe that there could possibly be a compatibility issue between Chrome for Android and GTPlanet.

Curious to know if anyone is having this issue as well and if they have found some sort of fix for it.
 
Have you tried a different browser, like Opera (Classic)? What I think is the cause for it, is that all the pictures takes up a lot of RAM, which I've also experienced on my phone. That makes my browser crash at least.
 
I've never had a crash on Chrome that I can remember. I'm on a Nexus 5 with 4.4.2 though, so different hardware and software.

Site seems to work no problem, just slowly, on the Samsung Browser. It's likely a RAM issue since Matty seems to be having no problem. Potentially Samsungs crap Touchwiz software that is causing problems.
 
It does sound like a memory management issue in the mobile browser, considering it crashes on picture-heavy threads.

There's nothing I can do about that, but it's disappointing to hear that it's slow for you in the Samsung Browser. The site responds quickly for me in all of the Android devices I've tested it on, and there's nothing particularly exotic or unusual about the layout which could cause performance issues.

Yeah, I was trying to find the developer options and watch the memory as I loaded the page but, there are no developer options that I can find on the Note 3 :scared:
 
I also experience crashing on photo threads. More often whilst uploading to the site directly.

HTC one on chrome.

Not tried opera but I will.

It's annoying because the rest of the functionality is excellent.

To enable deveoloper options go to about in settings and tap the build number 7 times.
 
Photo threads don't cause crashing on Chrome with the 2013 FHD Nexus 7. 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. Touchwiz/Sense is the most likely culprit, considering @mattythedog hasn't had issues with his Nexus 5.
 
I don't really have any issues with The Realistic Photo thread, using Chrome on my S3 (with <1 GB RAM), so the version of Chrome and Android could hold the answer (both are latest versions for me).
 
I don't have any issues on the webiste but my s3 Chrome went all crazy same for my computer. My chrome choose if I can go to a page or mot brings up cache page or as not find page I delete cache and everything else but redone the phone yet. Chrone on computer got a virus every page u click on brings up two pages of junk download this or that computer random downloads. Everytime I watch youtube there 2 other plugins playin at same time like the ads and stuff on the side. Sorry I know this just for Android but thats my problems.
 
Chrome crashes on the Interior photo thread in the GT6 forum. And I thought I was in the clear... haha.
 
I'm thinking that it is more of a Samsung Touch wiz issue as my 1GB Ram 2 year old Asus Transformer Prime has no struggles opening any thread in Chrome.
