Chrome paint

I tried a search but could not find the answer(if there is an answer, please close thread and point me in the right direction) I have about 550 cars, is it normal to have that many without getting 1 chrome chip?

It's unusual, but it can happen. Every 30 cars you get either a matte or a chrome chip, and as there are more matte chips then logic says you will get more mattes.

For every 30 cars that you purchase, you get a random special paint chip, either a Matte or a Chrome. It's random though, so it is highly possible that you didn't get one yet.

Your best bet is to head over to the Marketplace and trade for some. Many folks will send 5 Chromes of your choice for certain cars or tickets.

I think I must have most mattes by now, I got so bored of matte, my Zonda is now matte pink!

Thanks for the advice, but I wan't to get everything on my own, without trading, duping, etc., if it takes a few years, it takes a few years.

I understand, but gifting is actually part of the game and you would still be doing it on your own, but I see your point. 👍

I get what you are saying, but to me gifting is not part of the game, everything I get, I wan't to have got myself, the only cheat/glitch I use is the time zone one, because my ps3 has a bad habit of d/cing me, and I lose my 200% bonus.

It did it to me on a 24 La Mans, not happy, glad it was only B Spec.

Definately not every 30 cars its totally random, Ive 900+ cars and never received a chrome yet, I had to trade for and then dupe my chrome collection.

I think he means you get either a matte or chrome every 30 cars.

But you can get it from the 30 cars as well. Just not often.

I've bought and sold 400-450 cars, level 35/35, and have never seen a single chrome paint chip. I just want a few actual chrome (i.e. silver) chips for wheels.

I think the whole chrome paint thing is all just a myth and conspiracy.

In two profiles I had bought nearly 3000 cars. I never received a Gold or Silver Chrome paint. The only way I got them was through trading.

I received my first chrome from the every 30 cars thing today and I am at 570 Cars, all the other ones I traded for

I have approximately 710 cars at the moment and have only received silver chrome once as a purchase bonus. I've gotten 10+ Mattes though.

I traded for a Gold Chrome and then just duped a bunch of each. I'm currently sitting on probably 30 Silver Chromes and 25 Gold Chromes across three accounts. 👍

Not to mention the new Chromes that came with the 1st DLC. But, as we all know, they are not dupable. Well, they are, but it involves backing up your save, painting the car, sending the car to another account, restore save, resend car back the next day.

Obviously, the above only works on cars that are tradeable and it would take two total trade days to accomplish it, but at least I get to keep my new chromes.

I'm also contemplating the purchase of a 2nd Paint pack to have two of each and also get the Concept II. I'll probably do that over Christmas break.

Yeah it's crazy, I have never legitimately received a chrome paint code, always had to trade and buy the DLC lol. But I prefer it that way, keeps things more exclusive.

I sent everybody on my friend list a suit and somewhat matching helmet and got sent a gold chrome! I have probably 400 or so cars and this is the first chrome I have seen other then the DLC ones. would that be concidered cheating? Merry Christmas to all!
