Is acquiring 30 cars the only way of getting chrome colors? Excluding trading.

I think it has a chrome color as default.

None,I bought all the DLC's and as I had to get them via the truck,I don't see why it would give a chip for buying it on an alt. account if it didn't straight from the truck.

If I'm not mistaken, you get your first chrome paint after having 1000 cars. This doesn't include buying and selling cars, you need to have 1000 in your garage.

You get paints upon receiving 30 cars. Example, 0-30 cars will give you a paint, 30-60 another paint, 60-90 etc. It doesn't count when you get rid of a car, it sets the counter back one.

If I'm off in the numbers, feel free to correct.

I don't know, at one point I had 1000 cars and sold a bunch that were dups, I think around 20 cars, I had to wait until I got back up to 1030 to get any items (horns, paints etc.). So pretty much had to go from 980 to 1030 without receiving anything in between. With your logic, I would have gotten the gold chrome twice upon reaching 1000 again as it's the only time you get the gold chrome.

I'm certain selling/getting rid of cars set you back.

The DLC Paint Pack has chrome but not Silver or Gold chrome. If your willing to trade I have 2 Gold and 4 Silver, but I has to be a NICE trade.

I received a gold chrome at 30 cars... you get a rare paint every multiple of 30. Chrome, Matte, etc. There are TONS of Mattes, so the chrome is more rare. I currently have 5 silver chrome and a handful of gold chrome I will trade, sometimes give them away...

I also have every matte color.

PM me if interested. I would most like level or birthday tickets but am interested in cars too.

The DLC has many chrome in many colors. Some polarized paint and color changing paint that has chrome involved as well. Also matte gun metal, matte pastels, and flourescent. Check out the DLC paints - all 100 of them...

I didn't get my first gold chrome until 1000 cars.

Chrome paint is totally random. You don't get one for reaching 1000 cars. I got my first chrome around the 300 to 400 car range.
