Is anyone else looking forward to this game? I've always liked mech games so I'm pretty pumped to see the first "next gen" one. It sounds like there has been a lot of emphasis put on team play, communication, strategy, etc. And of course endless customization options as well. You can check out the trailer here.

Well, the demo has been released for download everywhere except for the US.

The gameplay is a little fiddly for my liking, but I don't play this type of game often, so for you fans of games like this it might be ok. I didn't find the gameplay that interesting. I got no satisfaction from blowing things up at all. The graphics aren't the best either, Burnout, GRAW, Kameo etc are all better in that aspect. Because I found it so boring - including my brother - I haven't bothered checking out the second part of the demo.

Verdict, I'm a little dissapointed, but I'm still sure for you hard-core fans out there you'll enjoy it.
 
I like the idea that it's made by the same people that make Armored Core,
and I have all the AC games for the PS2, I just hope this is as good as
Armored Core Last Raven.
 
Yeah, I'm a'bumping this.

Anyone pick this up? It is an absolute blast IMO. I've never been a fan of "clan based" gaming, but we have a great group of 20 in "Drunken Clam" and it has been everything from intense firefights to laughing at rediculous paint schemes.

I played it at my friends house...and I'm not too keen on it :( It's almost as bad as the armored core titles (which I dislike very much). I don't know, I think it's possible i just didn't have enough time with it, but I'd like to say it wasn't my cup of tea, lol.
 
I've herd good and bad, and most people agree its worth a rental atleast for the online play. I would have prefered to see a MechWarrior come to 360, but that is more of a "wait and see" situation there, as I presume it is a matter of time before that comes back.
 
Ah, I used to have MechWarrior. Ran surprisingly fast on my old Compaq Presario that cant even play Midtown Madness without blowing up. Only thing is, I never did figure out how to play it/controls.
 
Sorry to bring back a dead thread but is this game worth getting? Will it be easier to play and less complicated to figure out than Armored Core 4? thanks

If you have high speed internet than yes it is, other than that and you will run out of stuff to do.

Oh yeah, alot easier to play than AC4. Because I have both and ChromeHounds is kids play compaired to Armored Core 4.
