If the race is 24 hrs
1x=24 hrs.
2x=12 hrs.
3x=8 hrs.
8+8+8=24
How do you come up with 2.66? Just a question not looking to get slammed.
This formula is to keep in mind that pit time elliminates the x3. Each pit time is approxamitly 30 seconds or so. During that pit you are at regular real life 24hour time.
If you could run it with the cheat codes to avoid the pits then yes 24/3 would be done in 8 hours. But without the codes it is approximately 2.66 :)

Okay, thanks for the math lesson.
Discounted the pit stops, which given in a 24 hr period can add up.

Thank you.

No problem. :) 👍

What kind of lap times and cars were you guys using for this race? Cause I am using the Formula GT and ain't winning by as much as you guys.

Well, the F1 ain't the best car for the La Sarthe Endurances (have read that somewhere on these boards). I did both La Sarthes with my Minolta Toyota 88C-V with Turbo upgrade 4. Laptimes on La Sarthe I: 3m24 or so, on La Sarthe II: 3m12 or so.

And my Ford GT '05 once missed the pit in the Nurburgring 4h Endurance. But I saw it on time, the car in 2nd was closing the gap, and I said that my car had to drive one more lap, with red tyres... So, I put the pace at 1, and he reached the pit, and eventually won the race by 1 lap I believe.:)

I just did this endurance race with my Minolta. R1's all around, set it to 3, overtake on. Pits in every 6 laps I think it was. Right when the last bar on the gas gauge goes down, he pits in so it's perfect. I won it by about 10-15 laps (second place car).

Now I'm Bspecing the second 24hr Le Sarthe. After that, I'll finally have 100% :)

Nope. They just crawl around the circuit at something like 80km/h until they get back to the pits to refuel.

and there is no where where that sucks as much as la sarthe, although running out early on in the lap of nurburgring. I think I'd turn around, fill up & be able make up for lost time lapping at full speed

Lol, I used an Audi R8, tuned to 1104 hp, rh on front, rsh on back, raced the first 2 hours to get a lap ahead of the sauber. My best time, at about an hour into, was a 2:58:604.
I tried during a practice with the F1, i got a 3:05:872. I wonder what i could do with a sauber??
I have not had any problems in b-spec, i just leave it to my driver, put it on 4, and he makes no mistakes. the car tops out at 240mph. I highly recommend using it. I have been using the Audi, and have no lost 50hp. maybe its cause ive gone to change oil after every race?

I did a 3'08.170 in the F1 car. Thats with out with any settings changed on it. I tend to take the last sector a little to slow as sometimes taken those few corners before the 2 Chicanes flat maggot gets me out of control. I could knock about 2-3 seconds off if I took them flat out I reckon.

I used the Speed 8 from II and won by couple laps over the Nissan LMPs. I was in the midteens and he was 26's and 27's a sec or two quicker than them.

I didn't have any issues with Sarthe I or II. Used Minolta for I, R8 for II. B-spec'ed both, just left the PS2 on for a day, turned on a couple times to monitor, driver was ahead by crazy number of laps. Turned it on again after race finished, cash money and sweet prize cars. :)

BUT - I have seen Mr. B-spec do some funky stuff.. a lot of funky stuff. So I don't doubt any of these stories. My best story was in Like the Wind, it was a close race - I was kinda babysitting the race... but I missed the most important part of course. He pits on the FINAL LAP... losing the lead, and losing the race :<

hey there! i was doing the same thing, sarhe 24hrs with the formula 1 that u win in nurgburgring and i was watching the first rouds in b spec mode to see everything is going alright, and all of a sudden, THE CAR TURNS WILDY IN THE LONG STRAIGH, AND SMASHES AGAINST THE WALL AND KEEPS ACCELERATING AND TURNING AGAINST THE WAY, GLIDING ALL THE WAY ON IT, I STARTED TOUCHING ALL THE BOTTONS SCREAMING :scared: DONT DIE ON ME NOW!!!
and it finally came off...
but...it was a horrible moment, and i think its a glitch and it might happen again.
you guys be careful with this crap...
oh btw...

WHO THE HELL WOULD RUN 24HRS STRAIGHT JUST TO SEE WHO HAS BETTER SKILL?
ARE YOU SIRIOUS? I WANNA RUN A COUPLE OF LAPS AND THATS IT, IF U DONT LIKE IT, U KEEP RUNNNING ON THE TRACK ALL NIGHT LONG, IM GOING HOME!
WHY 24 HRS MAN?????? WHYYYYYYYYY??????

comments and im accepted ;)

There's a reason it's called an Eudurance race.

Oh, and

I'm currently B Specking this one. I'm using the F1 car from the Nurburing 24 hr 👍

When he started last night, on the first lap he was on 3 overtake, on the first straight he decided to turn hard right and sit against the wall until coming to a complete stop :dopey: He then drove straight in the wall of the second chicane on the straight

So at lap one hes in 6th and about 3/4 of a lap behind...

In disappointment I turned off the TV left him running on 3 overtake muttering to my self "sod you, you need the practice"

Before coming to work this morning I checked in to see how far behind he is, to my shock he's two laps up on second place 👍 but still doing the wall hug (he must fancy one of the spectators)

I hope that he can win this because added to my current 15 million (UK) I should have no problem buying all four black cars in 30 or so game days time!! 👍 👍 👍

3m08 in A-spec? Wow.. I did 3m06 or so in my Bentley in a Free Run. Did 3m09 in my R92CP, and those cars weren't tuned. So, with 900 BHP or so, the Bentley has 797 standard I believe. The R92CP had Racing Superhard tyres all around, and my Bentleu had Medium Racing tyres I believe.:)

Nice stories here? I haven't really done a endurane. Yeah just one on el Capitain.

But I have a (noob) question: If you are B-speccing, and you're tyres are red or you're feul is out. does the b-spec driver pits automatically?

With B-spec, the only thing you need to do is put the pace on 3 (Medium) and to let your car overtake. That's all you need to do. For the rest, you don't have to do anything. Because your car enters the pit automatically if his tyres are red, and running out of fuel, don't worry about that, never had any probs with it, and I have done all long Endurances now with B-spec.:)

WOW???? Does that mean that it was quick or slow? I got it down to 3'07.549 now and I stuffed up on one corner.

Oops, sorry.. You're talking about La Sarthe I, the one with chicanes.. I thought you meant La Sarthe II, without chicanes. My bad. No, then your time is quick.;) At La Sarthe I, I do 3m17 or so with my Group C cars. Although that difference ain't so big either. But the Group C cars are faster at the straights, guess that's because you're not that much quicker with an F1 car.:)

I used the Minolta for Sarthe II first, made sure the bspec driver was ahead by a lap then left it going for 20 odd hrs.First place easy.
On Sarthe I i used the Bentley ,same process.Won again.
Your bspec driver needs to have quite a lot of experience points and should have driven the car and track in other races. Even then in some endurance races (Fuji,Tsukuba etc) he'll still lose if you leave him to it alone cos he gets stuck behind another car and won't overtake until that car pits.

I used the '03 Pescarolo (the dark blue and green one) for Le Sarthe 1. I did about an hour in A-Spec then with a comfortable lead, I switched to B-Spec and monitored for about 1/2 hour. I decided he was going fast enough that I could switch him back to "fast" instead of "push". I watched a couple more laps, turned off the TV and went to bed.

When I got up he was 2 laps down. I realized that in "fast" the tire wear was reduced enough that he would go an extra lap before pitting and run out of gas about a mile from the pit entrance. :banghead:

Luckily there was enough time left to make it back to the lead once I set him back to "push".

The '03 Pescarolo is a fantastic car BTW. It is the only LMP that my B-Spec driver can do Le Sarthe in "push" with "overtake" on without going off anywhere. I was able to run soft/medium tires on "push" and "overtake" and still run almost as many laps as the Sauber between stops, but turning substatially better times. I had to sell my Black Beauties to afford the Pesky, but it was totally worth it.

I entered this endurance with my 1158 hp GT-one, rs on front, rsh on rear.My B-spec. driver is doing very well, constant 3:28's 👍 .Fast enough to hold the MINOLTA back and the sauber wich is in third.Anyway, I quit' this endurance ''cause I want to race it myself.

Cheers,

I've got the same problem with B-Spec??
If i use the F1 for La Sarthe 2,it is 1st in the first lap.
So thats good you think.
Well i just get to sleep and let him drive.
When i looked the next morning it was 6th??
And 7laps behind????? :ouch: :scared:
But what i see that at the first big turn at the end of the straight he just looses it and run straight towords the wall, stick there for a fieuw seconds and just let go of the wall and then he goe's further????
Sometimes he steers right to the wall and somethimes he steers left to the other wall??
I think the processor of the PS2 cant handle the bumps and speed for this track so thatswhy he does that?
If you see him drive you notice that he counter steers the whole time becouse of the bumps and speed and than the big turn,so big braking
Or mabe its just the front tires that are not to well?
And also the B-Spec driver doesn't go faster than 320/340??
And when i do it with the same transmission settings i easely go 380/390??
When i use the Nissan R92CP he doesnt bump at the wall but he just looses a lot of speed at that same corner or he goes in the sand,so the other A1 drivers can pas him at that corner.
Cant i do something about it??
Mabe less wing front and rear so the front tires are spared??
I noticed that he must pit in at round 4?
Too bad you can't buy some hard tires also???
Wich you can at GT3?
Hope to hear something good of you guys.(and girls) 👍

Well, all cars crash at the Hunaudieres straight, also the AI cars. Well, the unstable cars then of course. If you do the race with a Sauber Mercedes or Mazda 787B your car probably won't crash, because those cars are more stable at high speeds. I've seen all AI cars crash, except the 787B and Sauber Mercedes. The Peugeot 905 is champion in crashing there, don't use that car.:p At La Sarthe I, the cars don't crash anymore. And it has been said before, the F1 car ain't good for the La Sarthe races, its topspeed is too low, he loses it on the straight. Just use the Minolta Toyota and you'll be fine. Or a 787B, Nissan R92CP... Those cars are fine.:) And my Minolta Toyota pitted every 4 laps I believe, with RSH in back, and RH in front. But it won by 4 laps (La Sarthe II) and by 6 laps (La Sarthe I). Of course my Toyota was upgraded to 1200+ HP. Otherwise, your B-spec driver will be too slow.:)

Hmmmm...thats weird?
I used the Minolta for the race, and he doesn't made it??
And i dont get it at 1200+HP?
Its about 11##.
Does somebody have some settings for the Minolta or R92CP to make it @ La Sarthe 2?
THX

I plan to run all the enduros in A-spec one time, and if i feel a need for more money, I will do them again in B-spec. I will probably use my stock R89C, so it's nice to hear that the AI cars run fairly slow lap times.

Just give him new oil en a body Refresher. Then he'll have 1200+ BHP.:)

Hahaha! 👍
Ok.....havn't think about that yet!
Good point, but i think ill make it with the Minolta.
I'm now @ lap 154 and 8 ours and 43 min yet played with B-Spec and he's 1.07 in front of the Sauber.
So thats good sofar. 👍
THX anyway m8.

I have started this race with the toyata MINOLTA, like everyone else has suggested,

My minolta has been throught the wars though so i dont know if it might still do the job, on PAPER its 1200 hp,

I have put TYRES = front rh back rsh and on setting 2 like suggested by WOMBAT but.......

No one has said if you leave OVERTAKE on?????

Thats my question Do u guys leave OVERTAKE ON????

THANKS :) 👍
