So I'm loving all the seasonal events so far and have been able to justify the purchases of the cars to run in them because the payout is so high (I already had the Gamestop Toyota NASCAR, so didn't have to purchase). However.....am I reading correctly that the Citroen WRC car needed for that event is 850k?? Is there a cheaper place to get this car used? Do you win it in some other event that I just haven't run yet? Just seems like quite a bit to spend for one seasonal event. Am I missing something, or do I really need to pay 850k?

Yes, the car costs 850k, but if you are lucky (As i was) you can win one with the rally ticket you get by completing The Intermediate Event.

Gold the Sebastian Loeb challenge and you'll win this car, you don't have to be lucky to win it in a random ticket nor buy it. But stop being so cheap, it's only virtual money.

Yes gold the loeb special event. Its easy and the car is free 👍

i bought it just for this event and it gives me a chance to add a new car to my garage so it was worth it

Its easy to gold the loeb challenge if you know what your doing. Such a waste to spend 750k or so for this car...

Even if you do have to buy the car you will still make a lot of credits , 1st prize pays 1.5 million credits , obviously it's still best to try the Loeb challenge 👍

Even if you buy the car, its money well spent--it is excellent. Way to go France! :)

Couldn't agree more. This car simply rocks! Sticks like glue, with the rest of the upgrades you can do to it has enough snort to keep up with the big boys too. I used it on a whim to race the last series in extreme, the race at Nurb in the rain. I recall having a bit of difficulty with that one when I did it before, but with this car, I blew past everyone and was in first by the second turn, and held the lead the rest of the way. They never even passed me by the end of the long straight! A most excellent ride.

It's definitely worth winning the car first.

You collect over CR300,000 for winning the Loeb challenge plus a couple more Citroen cars then save a further CR850,000.

You can buy some beautiful cars with CR1million.

Can you win cars in the seasonal events? or is this just a money and exp. points thing?

In addition you can cream the intermediate and advanced rally event with it.

:) There's so much going on in this game, I can't keep up.:guilty:

This is a good thing! 👍 Better than a game you burn though the first day you bring it home.

Once you reach level 37 like I did, you'll notice that there is nothing to do but repeat the same things over and over.

For all intensive purposes, the car you are forced to buy is a reward car, as after you win the event you are more than compensated for your price of entry. I love these events, they force you to try some real fun cars.

Just back up your save and make an alt account, buy the C4, send it off to the alt account, delete your main account's save file and copy the save you back up earlier into it's place, now log into to your alt account and send the C4 back to the main account, enjoy your free Citroen C4 WRC.

I must suck because so far it hasn't been that easy to Gold this event....I'm having a hard time with the rally events for some reason...any special techniques?

Random ticket for me...I assume I'll get the other one later...don't really want 2, but hey, I quite enjoyed the car.

but the alt account will have zero credits and hardy worth the hassle

Really lame how many cheaters there are as a whole. Seems no game is safe. Forza motorsport 2 and 3 which I've played were rife with glitchers, cheaters and people that went so far as to write a program to unlock cars to jack peoples paints. Heard COD in all the various versions also was plagued with cheating on a grand scale.

Sad that it's easier for people to cheat and scam a game with no guilt or integrity. Guess ethics and integrity is a foreign concept of this generation.

I earned mine by Golding the Sebastian Loeb challenge, and it's one of the better cars in my garage. Well worth the effort in doing the challenge.

Turn SRF on ;)

my seconed favourite event. for a citroen its a good car to drive

I bought mine with the real "vitual" money, not cloning/cheating, the car is fun to drive, quite worth the 850,000 Cr. As I couldn't gold to S.Loeb events, I decided to buy it, 1.5 mil - 850K = you got a nice car, 650 K and 100000/150000 XP<? so buy it IMO.

or if you are not a collector and not intended to keep one, borrow it from a Friend.

I was having a bit of trouble with the dirt rally one, so I decided to move on to the ice rally. Once you figure out how to go fast on ice(for me it was using heavy throttle/brake modulation mid corner), going back to the dirt feels like you are driving tarmac. I golded Eiger by like 20 seconds in my first post ice-rally attempt.

Maybe there are people out there that don't feel liek playing a game till they are absolutely sick of it to be able to actually play the game with all the in game equipment (or in this case cars). I had to play CoD off and on for 6 months to get to the option for prestiging for my first time! Now gt's licence system had me, when I was younger, pulling my hair out. But I enjoyed the challenge, it taught me to be smooth, and to use the analogue sticks for gas and steering!

Now it seems too much of this BS put in games is to equate into some online penis Extension. How's about this? Instead of a level system a Win/Loss system? Or pure KDR meter with a total Kills and total deaths system for a FPS? That's a no BS method of skill measurement? Oh wait, that means to look like you know what your doing you'd actually have to not suck. Scrap it the 360 kiddies will have none of this!

Did anyone else have to fit softer tires? I can only manage 3rd with the tires the car comes with :(

That's contradicting. If you don't know what you doing you don't win the car so you must buy anyways. I haven't even attempted the Loeb challenge. Why, I don't like off road rally. I suck at it. I hated it in all the GT's but I did love the tarmac rally. I just coughed up the 850k. Like mentioned, its not real money and you can easily make that money up buy winning one of the current Seasonal events.
