It's awesome. I want one.

You have to wonder WHY? That awesome engine in an ugly POS like that. :dunce:

Personal opinions and everything but if you ask that question then surely you have to ask the wisdom of people putting bike engines or Honda VTECs in Minis, or Porsche flat-6s in VW Beetles.

How about, "for fun"? :odd:

That is quite simply one of the most awesome things I've ever seen.

They've spoilt the sleeper effect with all the yellow shields everywhere, thats a bit of a shame considering how much time and effort they put in, school boy error ;)

I've got nothing but a big :D and extension in the lower regions from that car. :O I'd like to hunt down a little Holden/Opel Combo or Citroen Berlingo to carve up now after seeing this creation!! :trouble:

It seems more like that put a 2CV body (well, front) on a 355 rather than a 355 engine in a 2CV.

Awesome though. Awesome.

Pure awesome. Love the new shape of the body, especially the wide behind to accomidate the engine. 👍

+1 Can I stuff a 355 engine into...say...a Mazda MX3?

And secondly how does one even procure a 355 engine?

Seems to me like he got hold of a complete F355... possibly a wrecked car in running condition, as is often the case with those kind of projects. You can most likely get a wrecked F355 in running condition for around 30k-ish, probably even less than that.

VDUB: what is WRONG with you? Americans do it all the time. that's a European HOT ROD!

if I could find a couple of those things around here, one'd be Concoursed, the other one'd be rodded out (and with the rectangular headlights, instead of the rounds) even the ferarri wheels look natural under the 2CV fenders

I simply meant why not hot rod something that when done, looks pretty cool as well. IMO a waste of a LOT of money and time to build something that looks like it came from a bad Pink Panther movie.

To be fair, I think you're in the minority thinking that it doesn't look cool...

And I still don't see what makes it a waste of money if they're having fun with it?... Why bother modifying anything, you're never going to make the money back...

It's a 2CV Van body. But yes, very awesome. And way faster than the 2CV Van I was stuck behind going up-hill once - won't getting any delayed deliveries in that one!

with that one, you won't be getting any deliveries. well, unless it's a small package places into the original engine bay, assuming that he has built some sort of trunk there.

All projects like this are a monumental waste of money. In fact, all tuning is a waste of money, unless done to market your shop or product... and even then, that's just a good excuse...

But this? This is sheer genius. Much madder than a VTEC Mini... slightly madder than a V8 Beetle, and only slightly less mad than a turbocharged, mid-engine, Ford Transit or F1-powered Espace.

This thing is plain cool. Lose the stickers, though.

EDIT: Hell... I'd buy one of these things if they were thinking of selling them....
