Which do you think is best and why? I prefer Citta d'Aria, I like the narrow rounds and Costa d'Amalfi gets a bit repetitive with hairpin after hairpin. Mind you, neither are any good with penalties, one brush of the wall and red-lineing at 40mph for 5 seconds.:grumpy:

Costa d'Amalfi, shows off more of the beautiful scenery, and shows a car's true potential more (IMO) with all of the hills and lots of hairpins. I know citta d'aria has hairpins too, but I still say Amalfi :D

Difficult one to choose.

I love Citta d'Aria for its highly challenging nature and the evil braking zone at the end of the straight, I also love the left-right corner combos before the straight.

However Costa d'Amalfi was a good money earner for me early in the game and as such I got to know the track front and back. I do also like how the number of contant radius corners teaches good throttle control. Love taking a lot of cars around here, Nismo 400r being a favorite.

Now to pick one of the two, well its got to be Citta d'Aria, the reason is that ultimatly it is the more technical and challenging of the two, but also because it was in GT4 Prologue and just blew me away the first time I got to drive the M5 Concept on it.

Regards

Scaff

I think codta di amalfi is better because its easier to overtake cars in as it is not as narrow as Citta di aria and its more fun to drive and although easier to avoid penalties.

Cheers

Costa d'Amalfi for a two big reasons. i love the scenery. its a gorgeous backdrop. also, the course is challenging, but it is still a lot of fun to race on.

Costa d'Amalfi is only just the better of the two imo, I don't think Citta is more technical, it's just narrower, I think they're pretty similat in terms of how technical they both are, Amalfi has the better location and just nab's it.

Voted for Costa d'Amalfi just because its a longer course, and in my opinion, shows off what a car is capable of since you can come close to top speed, and at the same time, take it around tighter and tighter turns. 👍

My vote goes to Citta d'Aria because it's a course that forces you to drive fast based on skill, not how much horsepower is under the hood.

I’m gonna go with Costa d'Amalfi. I think I’ve had fairly equal playing time on both circuits, but I really enjoy the great corners the Amalfi coastline provides as it begs you to get the rear of the car to step out.

Plus I imaging myself sitting in one of yachts throwing back the beers and enjoying the sights and sounds….

I think each tracks has it’s merits and are both challenging in different perspectives. Like Scaff mentioned, the evil breaking zone after the straight at Citta d'Aria is a real challenge as is some of the low speed cornering in those really tight sections… not to mention overtaking….

Amalfi has more higher speed corners (as well as your low speed hairpins), but tempts you to push that car just a little quicker around that corner…. It’s quite evil actually…. But I love it…. It also makes you want to fang the most expensive piece of machinery you can get your hands on… mmmm…. Zonda…. You know it just fits….

costa di amalfi the differences between normal and reverse are big the drastic elevation changes i had to go with amalfi not to mention its almost like a touge.

I love driving the narrow roads of Citta d'Aria in a small, low powered car. Just last night I drove the AE86 S.S. edition, and it handled the course great! :dopey: The Honda S800 racer drives well there, too. I guess I'm tired of using Amalfi for that race to sell the RSC Rally for money, I've done that too many times. :dunce:

I chose Costa d'Amalfi. That is the most beautiful track in GT4. The first time you see this track in HDTV 1080i your jaw drops. Every color you can imagine is in that track.

I prefer Costa d'Amalfi; there's actually curves, not just corners. The background scenery is nice, too; it reminds me of the Costa Brava region of Spain.

Although that "fire escape" section at the end is rather unnecessary.

costa d'amalfi is great for 2 player but i voted for Citta d'Aria because of the corner that suddenly drops away just before the straight

Alright . . . well now that I think about it . . . for ocean going, beautiful, interesting tracks. Definitely monte carlo (cote d'azur).

I race on Amalfi much more often, however I enjoy both tracks a lot.

I can't really choose a favorite here.

Aria is much more challenging to pass, really teaches you how to pass a car the right way. You also have to watch out for things that stick out.

Amalfi is much easier to me, but still has two difficult sections, notably the fast downhill 'esses' that leads into the sharp left-hander, and of course the last turn, which is just annoying to me.

Aria really gives me the impression of being in the middle of a busy Italian street with the narrow high walls, and Amalfi is just so scenic.

I like both!

For me, it depends on the car I am driving at the track. For me, Citta d'Aria is fine for all drivetrains. But powerful AWD cars at Costa d'Amalfi are difficult to handle on a couple of long corners.

Citta d'aria is BORING. getting the perfect line is difficult and there is no room to change your approach or line to any extent, so it's just lap after boring lap

Having said that, a zonda with the aids off isn't quite so boring...

Amalfi, nice scenery, lots of hairpins but also lots of straits.

The ultimate, understeer-oversteer-accelerstion-braking-handling testing track.
