I have heard these car's are based on the same chassis as the DC5,heck even their wheelbase is the same,so just wondering if any Honda experts can confirm this.

I have also heard that the Euro market EP3 Civic type R received updates in 2004,do these updates of a quicker steering rack, stiffer steering and suspension mounting points as well as spring, damper and roll bar revisions apply to the Japan market EP3 type R as well?

Same chassis as what? You've only given one model - the EP3. If you meant, "is it the same chassis as the ES Sedan/EM Coupe?" then essentially yes.

If you meant whether the EUDM Civic R is the same as the JDM Civic R then again, yes, save for a few detail changes and the Japanese car getting more power.

If you meant whether it's the same chassis as the current Civic then no.

I expect so.

Oops, changed the title which said both, sorry! I meant the DC5 Integra, does it share the same chassis as the EP3?

Still no. Different chassis, similar suspension components. Struts up front, wishbones at the back. Closely related, but I'm fairly sure a different chassis.

Engine is the same as well unless I'm hugely mistaken, and as with the Civic the Japanese market got a more powerful version of the K20. That said, the DC5 was never officially sold in Europe, and was only sold under the Acura banner in the States.

I also hear the power steering system is different, the Integra gets a hydraulic setup while the Civic gets EPS.

Wonder how much different the steering feel is.Darn when I get my license I will definitely want to try both cars.

Tested a stock Integra in GT5 and it's perfect,so just wonder how the EP3 will be in relation...
