Civic Type R EP3 - Wrong specs??

Hi guys, please correct me, but does not the Civic Type R EP3 (01 and 04) come with 197 bhp, (199hp) ???

Ingame it has 225 bhp stock with oil change. so without im guessing around 222 something.

I just went wtf on this, anyone?...
 
I thought the same im nearly sure they are 200bhp or (very close) EPs have a K20 2.0... my EK9 civic has exactly 178bhp and thats a 1.6 so i think EPs are around 200ish GT5 has it wrong probably
 
The JDM version of the EP3 CTR has a modified version of the K20A engine compared to the European version along with a few extras. The JDM K20A engine produces 212hp.
 
They have a very similar engine, but yeah EP3 should be 200hp, many HP figure in GT5 seem to be slightly higher after oil change. It would probably have less than 222hp before an oil change.
 
The 01 EP3 is a Euro version (despite having Japan as it's country of origin) and should indeed produce 197bhp as a result according to manufacturers figures

The 04 EP3 is a JDM spec hence the championship white finish which was only available in the JDM model and should produce around 212bhp again according to figures

However having owned two of the Euro EP3s and dyno'd both comparing them with fellow EP3 owners we did find the actual output differ dramatically from around 180bhp to 216bhp stock! So in this way GT5 captures the specs remarkably well. I should imagine the JDM version is much the same!

Im not sure where to put it at, but im going for 197bhp on both 01 and 04,

I absolutely love Honda, but first the Vtec is almost missing in-game, and now the bhp is not right? :indiff: Gaah.. wish they put a little bit more effort for us Honda fans...
