The best line would still be wide in wide out, hit the apex with the nose of your car half way round, at least that would seem to be the right line, thats how I've seen it done anyway, it's also the fastest line round the corner in grip driving, but it doesn't provide the fastest exit speed..

Even when drifting, you shouldn't take the middle of the track. You could slower and stick to the outside, but what is the point?

His comment implied that the image you posted shows the car in the middle fo the track at all times. In all racing, drfiting or otherwise, you should "straighten" the corner as much as possible by starting outside and aiming toward the inside of the corner at it's apex for the best speed through the corner.

It's still called drifting, but the way you take the corner is known as wide in, wide out but you should aim to clip the apex o the very inside of the ciorner about half way round.
