Hi Everyone,
I have some ideas about the classic car racing. We could split the racing in to couple of groups:
European cars up to 79.
Only with soft sport tires. I dont think we should limit the hp since with the sport tires cars with a lot of hp will be difficult to control. Race cars allowed.
Tracks: Cote Dazur, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
American muscle cars up to 79.
Front engine rear wheel drive only, so no Chaparrals or GT40, just good old muscle. Racing soft tires allowed, you cant drive them without those. Race modified cars allowed.
Tracks: Laguna Seca, Road Course Daytona. (Please no ovals). Grand Valley speedway.
Japanese cars up to 79.
Sport soft tires, no hp limit. Race cars allowed.
Tracks: Suzuka Circuit, Special Stage Route 5 (day or nigh) and Fuji Speedway.
GT World for race cars up to 79.
Racing soft tires allowed, race cars only and race modified allowed.
Tracks: Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 No Chicane, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Autodromo Nazionale Monza No Chicane.
World championship for cars up to 69.
No race cars and sport soft tires only.
Laguna Seca, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Suzuka Circuit.
Any aids except ABS should be forbidden.
Everyone should have cars that for most of the events. There should be exceptions, if someone doesnt have a Japanese car he can use a European car (non racing) and vice versa.
I think this should work; maybe in the future we can organize special events, like European cars only day.
Please feel free to change, add or comment on suggestion.
