Celica Supra: modern classic

Ruf Yellowbird: best Ruf ever!

E30 M3: Start of something great...

Toyota 2000GT: Japan's first global showing of performance.

AE86: Fuel your passion.

...God, I forgot about the Celica Supras. I still say that those are the only Supras I will ever like, and I still belive that they were a lot better than the 300ZX models of the time...

I don't want to get in a huge debate like other threads on car comparisons but I'm just curious why you think the early Celica Supra's are a lot better than similar year 300zx's?

BTW I personally like the 300zx more, I'm not saying your wrong or anything just curious of your thoughts. :)

Anyway, I know some people will think I'm crazy but when I see mint condition cars like this (and anything old and original really)

I belive it used to be a mid-ninties Cavalier, Modified racecars are purpouse built racers, with the only production peice being the roof panel.

Modified Stock cars don't even have production roof panels. the panels may be the same profile, but that's it. actually, they're probably not even the same profile.

they USED to be modified stockers....

(Sorry about the pic quality.)

As for my favorite....

I will have these two in my collection one of these days:

Ferrari Daytona Spyder. V-12, front engine, two seats, doesn't get much better.

Auburn Boattail Speedster. If you wanted sexy performance in the 1930's this was your car.

You simply cannot find better looking two seaters than these beauties

The Cadzilla is cool, ditto the QuadraDeuce...

I drooled over this for a good long time, it is really fatastic and what's really stunning is it's a working car...

Holden Efijy

That Holden...

I don't necssarily care for the huge wheels, but the work that went into that is probably mind boggling. Very cool car. 👍

Yea the Efijy really is gorgeous, I love the paintjob. And a supercharged LS2 cannot be a bad thing either.....

Is it a steel body though, or just a fibreglass shell? A steel body would make it more of a marvel IMO.

Revheadnz: Lovin' the avatar. :)

I don't know if you can still call that an FJ but it definately is a fine bit of work. I remember it's feature in Street Machine a few months back.

I'm a big fan of old Japanese cars, I'm particularly partial to old Mazda's like 1300's, RX-2's, RX-3's, 808's and I can never go past a select few Datsuns.

1600's FTW! :)

Unfortunately its a fibreglass body, and according to this it cost 1.5 million dollars.

Unfortunately, it's just a fiberglass shell. It sits on C6 corvette underbits, with a odd inboard airbag setup.

Damn you, Revhead... Beat me to the Datsun post.

Anyway...

You can never have enough Datsuns mate, if you've got nice photos then share the love....

And how could I go past the Mk1 GTI? Especially when there is one in my garage right now. I might go get some photos now actually. It's a campaign model, with the Mk2 style lights.
