CLEAN CONSECUTIVE RACE = RED LETTER?

Good evening folks. Question ---> . I had a race today when I thought I made a good - reasonable strong and clean race. I got the message after the race "consecutive clean race" displayed - then when I clicked "NEXT" - I got my rating down from S to red A!...... how can I get a RED letter on SR when I was confirmed at the end of the race that I did a consecutive clean race?? New rules I don't understand here? Please let me know what I have done wrong ?? Thank you!
 
If only GTS was available on PC. Modding communities would have some fun with the penalty system. Competition for the fairest system would benefit everyone and maybe filter back to the PS4 version. Of course I'm being unrealistic, the FIA involvement would never allow it.
 
You keep the clean race bonus if the game deems a contact not to be your fault. However it still deducts SR points for each contact regardless whether it was your fault or not. In A/S you can even get a penalty for the contact and still get the clean race bonus.

I can only assume PD thinks like an auto insurance company when it comes to % of fault. If someone forgets to brake, goes flying thru the grass, and T-bones me in the rear quarter panel as you are exiting a corner (last right hand turn at Interlagos is good for this) I do not see how that can be my fault at all unless they are putting a % of blame on me for just being there. No matter how defensively I drive I don't see how anyone would avoid a collision like that other than simply not partaking in the race. :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
 
I had someone dive down the inside of me at The Chase at Mt Panorama, I had no idea they were there and I turned into them as I was hitting the apex, i then was flung off to the right, managing to get back on track swiftly and continue but received a 10 SECOND PENALTY for my trouble as I was making my way across the grass

Yeah that's the best part, getting a time penalty for an excursion through the grass even if self inflicted. Sometimes its a short cut penalty and you already lost 15 seconds testing your off road skills. I got a 5 second for going the wrong way with the E-Tron, someone spun me and the game must have turned me around when I glanced at my wheel to find reverse and I didn't know it, so besides the 15 seconds I lost waiting for the game to spin me the correct direction then me making a U-turn I get another 5 seconds of penalty added for some moron that doesn't have braking skills.
