I'm a casual racer with very limited time to play GT5. Everytime i join an online event named something like "Clean" og "Clean or kicked" people don't seem to be taking it seriuos.

Is there password protected servers where people are driving seriuosly without ramming into each other or cutting corners? I'm not very fast, but i'm definitely willing to prove that i can race clean.

A principle i like is when you accidentually pushes someone of the track you should give the raceposition back.

Lounges can be a solution. If you have friends that are willing and you know can race, pull them into a lounge. People cannot join your lounge unless they're on your friends list.

Good way to make sure you're racing with serious people.

I had the same problem of finding fair clean racers.

I personally enjoy racing with the VCRC (Vintage Car Racing Club) and have just set up my first event, the 4WD Frenzy. If you want here is the sign up thread. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247452

But your best bet is to check out all the different leagues and clubs to see which suits you best.

It all depend on the host. usually some one just types "clean" and just races.. you have to find good hosts.. since I cant join any lobby due to GT5 online freeze (I can but only once, if I leave I freeze and have to restart) so I always create my own room.. I inform all players the rules of the room time to time. If someone is unfair I kick.. I sometimes give warnings..

I will give you a tip.. find rooms with all driving aids off, those room usually are more full with mature players. there are good rooms, like everywhere there are good and bad ones.

Unfortunately, even though a lobby is titled "Clean" doesn't mean that the current host is the original host.

Also, everyone's opinion on what a "Clean" race may different significantly. Just because there might be a racing incident doesn't mean you weren't being raced cleanly. You can be aggressive and still be a clean driver as long as your not wrecking someone intentionally to gain the position.

Well put.

You're pretty safe when it comes to organized clubs and leagues and some of them are geared towards beginners or the more casual drivers. VCRC is good and there are plenty of others.

There are a few good people left in open lobbies. Takes a bit of searching to find the hosts that actually run their rooms with an iron fist, but once you do, hit them up with an FR and look for them when they are online.

I've started noticing rooms with a "GTP" tag in front of it. Usually the leaders will ask new people joining if the undertand the OLR that most people here try and abide by.

I host clean races nightly around 10-11p CST. Hit me up.

His rooms are nice. They put up with me learning online last night (only.my 2nd night racing online). It was a patient and understanding room that was helpful with tips.

Mike, you were fine. I think you're just in the "exploration" phase, but you're on the right track.

Good on ya!

If anyone is interested, some members are working on instructional classes that should help you, and anyone else looking to improve their skills.

And thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you had a good time, and hope to see you more often.

And that is why this was created.

Really gets on my Wick. Was racing on Monza the other night and Kept getting "Pitted" (Pit Manouver). No one gets kicked. This is no fun since I drive with a 900 degree wheel and cant just do the quick lock to lock like you can on a controller. I run into a guy on turn 4 because he braked and we didnt need to brake for that corner in the cars we were using. I get kicked Instantly. I go back in the room and the guy says I rammed him off the track. He said he was gonna add me to his blacklist and kicked me again.:nervous:

Hey man, people like that can't be reasoned with. Forget about that dude and keep on racin!

Very true.

Which is why a lot of people with limited time on gt5, looking for clean racing, do so in this forum with organized racing...
You find the groups that interests you, and races the way you prefer. And the situation will be predictable. And you don't waste any time, because you know what you're getting into.

The only way to find the kind of clean pub lobbies is to FR any host you find to be on top of things, so that you can find rooms he's hosting in the future.
