In the game, it's referred to as the "Online Dealership" but on GTP I see it referred to as the "Online Collector's Dealership."

Never heard of Online Collectors Dealership. I have always known it as the Online Car Dealership.

The name is right there.

Some terms are slightly different between the UK English and the USA English versions of the game.

Like cars that have just arrived in the Used Car Dealership. The USA version says "Just In". The UK version says "New".

Crazy OCD collectors.
'OCD OCD' .. lol.
Did anyone check if there's suddenly a Premium Bugatti dealership added as well by mistake?
We wish. :):)

I bought them both on the understanding that their inclusion is a rarity, I think there is a semblance of a chance we may receive a standard Enzo some time in the future but the F2007 is much more unlikely.

Oooooh, that's pretty cool. Didn't even notice they were there. :dunce:

How long until "Hoarders" has an episode featuring GT5 garages and those who own/obsess over them? :)
OCD OCD indeed. But, to each his own!

Yes it does - for reasons already stated in this thread. The point was more that I'd already posted the image showing where the name came from before people were asking where the name came from...

Of course the question no-one's asked is why the logo is a big capital H...

Ok, I'll bite. Why is the logo a big capitol "H"?

I have no idea. It's bugged me since the day the OCD was revealed.

Either the Japanese word for Collector begins with an H or it was supposed to contain helicopters. Probably the latter.

Intrique us with a question in which you have no answer to, lol. Good one Famine, lol.

Hey, I like to spread my confusion round as many people as possible.

Also, it cannot be unseen now... every time it's updated, you'll see that big, blue and orange H staring at you, taunting you with its mystery meaning...

 Another thing I have never noticed, Cheers Famine, gonna bug the HELL outta me now. 👍

Yea, thanks, lol. Something I never noticed or even gave a second thought about is now going to bug me till I find the answer. Thanks Famine, lol.

I went and checked it again to see that big H, and it simply says "Online Dealership" as it does in the GTLife front page. But the H is a trip.

Hahaha....^......Gotta be for the H...Subliminal even.

I don't mean to hijack a thread but I didn't want to start a new thread either for such a simple question, but where does "OCD" come from? In the game, it's referred to as the "Online Dealership" but on GTP I see it referred to as the "Online Collector's Dealership." Also, thanks for clearing things up for me as I, along with many others apparently, was a little confused.

It comes from the term: obsessive compulsive disorder:lol:

I think the "H" may be the same "H" in the phrase "Jesus H. Christ". It's obviously deeply loaded with symbolism and mystery. Deciphering this may be a job for Tom Hanks.

I thought I saw this discussed a while ago. I thought that it was suggested that the OCD was originally going to be known as the "Hot" car dealership, or maybe it is in certain countries (i.e. Japan)?

Cheers,
Amateur1

Bit funny that the TVR Tuscan speed and the Cerbera Speed are double in mygranturismo car list.
Does is count for the 1000 cars trophy list and do i have to buy them twice??
Not sure but this is also with the daihatsu midget car.
Are there more cars like this???

Greetz and have a good day Marinus

Hi,a since you posed this question the only conclusion I can say on it is when you enter the OCD the text that scrolls along is presumably the Hottest of cars?

Anyway thats my explanation of the letter H? :D
Chat soon bye for now.:)

EDIT: Or maybe Holy smoke Batman some more cars to collect. Dam that OCD.

It comes from Hot Car Dealer, there's a picture in the in-game manual that shows this, chapter 8-18 👍

Mystery solved, lol. Can't believe Famine didn't know that, lol.

There's a great reason for that. I'll let my camera, as of five minutes ago, tell you the tale:

Chapter 8-18, you say?

So I see...

gt5manual_ocd.jpg

The only part of the manual dealing with the OCD...
