Round 1 of the championship at leguna Seca
Practise starts at 9.30pm GMT+1 (British summer time)
Qualifying starts at 9.55pm

If there is enough interest we will run more testing sessions on all of the championship circuits.

Championship Calender

Before qualifying there will be an optional 20 minute practice

Round 1: Laguna Seca - 08/06/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)
Round 2: Autumn Ring - 22/06/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)
Round 3: High Speed Ring - 29/06/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)
Round 4: Tsukuba Circuit - 06/07/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)
Round 5: Nurburgring GP/D - 20/07/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)
Round 6: Cote d'Azur - 27/07/12 - Qualifying at 9.55pm GMT+1 (UK summer time)

-Aids will not be alloud apart from ABS and driving line
-Tuning will not be allowed - you can only limit the BHP and transmission so do not cheat.
-Chassis Reinforcement will be optional

1st = 20 points
2nd = 18 points
3rd = 16 points
4th = 14 points
5th = 12 points
6th = 10 points
7th = 9 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 7 points
10 = 6 points
11 = 5 points
12 = 4 points
13 = 3 points
14 = 2 points
15 = 1 point
16 = 0 points

Pole Position = 3 points

Overtaking - when a car is halfway allong side, the car infront must give room. Lightcontact will be accepted but if a car causes an acident, the driver who caused it will face a time penalty, place penalty or points penalty.

Also, wandering why you chose thoes tracks. Only 2 european tracks for a european championship? Not saying the are bad tracks just asking.

a lot of the good european tracks are really long which would be boring for a clio cup, times are not set yet as there aren't many drivers signed up,

If enough people have stock clios, and a similar ammount have the race clios we can run two cups at the same time

I was interested when it was tuning prohibited but now that gear ratios are allowed that means all tuning will be allowed. Dont have the time to compete woth people who can spend all day tuning so im going to have to sit this out.

Thats fine but you wont be able to stop guys doing a full tune and not just a trans tune. Same guys will win every round and people will lose interest. Just a pity because an equal car Clio Cup could be a lot of fun.

Its your championship and i dont want to tell you how to run it, just giving some pointers as to what ive seen in the past. A series with full tuning allowed atracts a different type of driver compared to a tuning prohibited series. A series with a mix is very difficult to achieve.

Do we have a rough time for races on Fridays yet? I prefer after 9pm but dont know what everyone else wants.

Can't attend any race before 10pm on any given night, as I work till late and have a 4 year old daughter, are all the races going to be around 6pm? Because if they are, I'm going to have to sit out as well.

Also I have just noticed immortal is in this league too! He's a freaking alien! Raced against him in a gt500 league. Should be fun.

I really want to join this tournament , but if I enter the tournament, I won't attend the pre-season test race and the first race 👎, if the first race is scheduled to this Friday, is that a problem if I don't attend those first races?, and if you want I can help you with the standings with excel

Edit: I suggest an extra point for the guy who do the fastest lap of the race, negative points for the ones who quit in the middle of a race and more races for the schedule (one per week) because summer is coming and it's hard to find a tournament worth to participate and that has not started yet in and this one looks very interesting
