Clio Renault Sport V6 Setup

hey all, i tuned my Clio V6 Phase 2 with the settings of Duck, but i changed them a bit.
Now my car is hell fast
it accelerates very fast, i tested it in the Clio Trophy, and it is really fast, and easy to drive with.

here's the setup


Parts used are :

-Weight Reduction 3, port polish, engine balancing
-Exhaust=racing
-Computer=equip
- NA Tune 3
- Tyre type is Racing Medium for front and rear
- no NOS, Turbo, Intercooler or supercharger
- Brakes=racing
- Brake Balance Controller = equip
- Suspension = Racing
-Transmission=Fully Customisable
-Clutch=Triple Plate
-Flywheel = racing
- no propeller shaft
-Equip any wing you like
- LSD=Fully customisable
-AYC=none
-VCD=standard
This set-up is for the Renault Clio Sport V6 Phase 2.

It ísn't tested on Midfield yet, but go see for yourself in the Clio Trophy

Suspension F R
-Spring Rate: 13.0 / 13.0
-Ride Height: 95 / 97
-Bound: 7 / 7
-Rebound: 8 / 8
-Camber: 2.2 / 1.6
-Toe: 0 / 0
-Stabilizers: 3 / 3

LSD
-Initial: 20
-Acceleration: 15
-Deceleration: 5

Downforce
Amount: 30 / 30

Driving Aids
-ASM Oversteer: 9
-ASM Understeer: 14
-TCS: 4

Brake Controller
-Brakes: 12 / 7

Transmission
1. Slide "Final" all the way to 5.500.
2. Slide Autoset to 1.
3. Then slide "Final" to 3.280.
This is the tranny trick, and this is a good base for tuning your transmission for each track.
Then slide Autoset to 8, it will accelerate very fast!

Ballast
-Weight: 85
-Location: -30

To be honest, there is one huge flaw in your setup and it's the driving aids. Every single car will stay on the track just about no matter what with that amount of ASM, and never lose grip with that amount of TCS. Your suspension setup looks decent at minimum, maybe somewhat too stiff, but it's not getting used to the maximum because the aids are basically steering the car. The car could also do without the ballast, being lighter and faster.

I've made a full power setup for the same car, with the same tyres. It's a handful but also pretty fast for what it is. Have a look if you want to. 👍

Aside the LSD and driving aids, the setup looks quite reasonable. The car is very stable to drive, no?, but if you really want to get the cars true potential out, you need to turn off the driving aids and learn to drive without them ASAP. there's much more pleasure in driving when computers ain't cutting the power off.

Then, the LSD.. that seems to have quite close to stock values. Try to open it up a bit, say 20/15/5, and you'll notice that you can turn better. Also, try negative toe value in front, -2 for starters. if it's too much, tone it doen. othertwise, you seem to have basic stuff well done.

i will try it now,

did you notice it can easily beat the Clio V6 Throphy cars :tup:
with 421 HP, and no TCS, it will spin the wheels out, i just like to put the pedal to the metal, and enjoying the sound of the smooth V6
but i will give it a try

for this setup, i used the setup of Duck, but i changed it a bit

greycap, i put the ballast there, to balance the weight, to get a optimal weight balance, so it will be less easily to spin out i have to say i like it, but that's my opinion about it

i like the new diff setup, but i think the car is understeering a bit more, but the TCS lowered is working well, the new driving aids setup is 9-14-4 now, it handles better

FlyingCap, your setup is pushing the driver to the limits
it has a bit of understeer, but then i have to slow down lol
it feels a bit "strange" but it's really nice
i set it as my B setting

but hey.... what do you think about this setup on a Throphy Car?
