chrishan, are you sure you want to put the picture in the 'sunny' category? Because it doesn't look very sunny to me. Whichever side you're planning to go to, though, please don't change the picture, partly because you can no longer change your entry, but mostly because that picture is just gorgeous.

Thanks! I really had a hard time choosing sides but you're right, it isn't very sunny.

I guess i'll switch sides to cloudy :)

Final Entry
Gloomy/Cloudy

its in the wet so i assume gloomy, but tell me if it should be bright.

I'm just wondering is updating a photo considered changing your entry, because i will probably end up editing my photo more and i was wondering if i only was able to do 1 update.

~ GLOOMY ~

This shot was taken for the 'Sunny' side, but during editing, I accidentally gave it so much contrast that the sky whited out. I thought, hey, I think this looks better for the 'Gloomy' side.

May end up changing this, but for now...

Good point lol how did you get lens flares? aren't they not allowed?

Back before the DLC patch came out we could have in game lens flares, but ever since the update, we lost them again. Slipz was saying he did get them back in photomode, along with bloom. Bloom you can get anywhere, but as far as i knew Lens Flares were disabled...

yeah i thought the same, and it isn't a photo taken before the update so must be an edit add?

Did the Aventador come out before v2.02? :sly:

I'm pretty sure it didn't, so there's only 2 logical explanations.
1. SlipZ found a way to unlock lens flares again
2. Kaz sent SlipZ the DLC early before patch 2.02.
I'm leaning more towards the second...

Hmmm, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think you can edit in a lens flare of sorts within the rules by using a dodge brush. I seem to recall Revolution using this technique to good effect adding in headlight reflections on the road in one comp (found it). You can't add lens flare with a 'lens flare' filter but this way you probably could.
Let me know if I'm way off base with this SlipZ. :)

Yeep, i remember that, the one in 2.0 Realistic week.
Too bad the flare aren't there now.

Heh, I can assure you the lens flare was not added post-pro! Head to a custom Eiffel circuit on the latest time setting, and shoot at a similar angle. It showed up just fine that way :)

Requesting poll choices right now, last minute entries, get in while you can!

After a grueling week:

COMPETITION CLOSED

This week has seen a flood of entries, especially on the sunny side, so a lot of the pictures that would've easily made it to the polls did not get through this time. As I've said so many times in this thread, there have been some fantastic shots, and I'm sorry more of them did not get the chance. I would also like to apologise if I had made any mistakes while judging this week's competition.
