Can we use race cars? The description doesn't specify, but everyone so far has used a road car so just wondering.

"You'd have to be bonkers to buy the Corvette, and that is why you should."

Don't understand why only the R35 can be used, and any model corvette can be. Why no R33, R32 etc?

When I thought up the theme, I initially had the R35 and the 6th generation(ie C6 2005+) corvettes in mind, completely forgetting about the older models haha. So that's a fail on my part. But no worries, all corvettes are still welcome.
Besides, I never really heard of an R32 being called 'Godzilla' :)

You guys insist on making this poll a close one.

Yes, sorry I have no time these days to conjure something special so this will do. I was browsing the forum because I haven't been here in a while.

WHHAAAAAAAT???!!?!? The R32 was where the Godzilla name came from because it tore the motorsport world to pieces. It was so fast the Australian touring cars had to ban it because it was untouched for three season's!!

This. The R32 started the Godzilla nickname for the GT-R due to his incredible feat in Australia and Japan's touring championships. If I'm not mistaken, it won all the races in three season in both championships. I might be wrong, I know that in one of them it pulled that, not sure if in both. Correct me if I'm wrong.

small wonder revoy had not heard it, because the GT-R was first nicknamed Godzilla in Australia on how it decimated the Australian Group A touring car scene in the early 1990's

as far as I recall the R32 went 29 consecutive races undefeated in the Japanese Group A scene. It was so dominant that set the Eurpoean side shivering before the R32 ever set foot in the national championships there so that they banned it.

another feat was that R32 demolished the field by almost a lap in the 1990 Macau Grand Prix, the DTM spec teams demanded that the R32 to be ballasted by 140kgs for them to race in 1991 (the GT-R weighs 1260kg in Group A spec, yet having 600+hp, and 4-wheel-drive, while the DTM cars are half the power but three quarters of weight)

Well dang lolol. I just got a little history lesson regarding the origin of the nickname. It's still pretty accurate though that I personally never heard the name for the R32, until now that is. Too bad, could've been a part of the theme.

Don't know if I did this right, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try!

I've never been much of a fan of the GT-R
Neither have I, that's why I've used it this time - seems I rarely photograph one otherwise. ;)
