This entry is purely because I don't want to skip this week.

I will be out for all comps this week, almost certainly next week and maybe longer as my trusty old PS3 finally YLOD'd just now. :ouch:
I've just spent any spare cash I had on a new microwave (old one blew up this week) and my wife's birthday present so I'll not be able to afford to replace the PS3 for a few weeks. :(
Of course I'll still be around hosting my two comps and putting my 2 cents worth in here and there. ;)

Y'know... I think mine may be on it's way out to be honest.

GT menus are soooo slow at the moment! I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I'm always saving and deleting sets of shots from the Photo Gallery in GT5? Can't be good for the hard-drive can it?

I've rebuilt the database on the PS3 and still the game chugs. :(

Definitely not too busy.:lol:
But it's not because of the laziness either, I just felt like it's the best shot of all that were taken from high spots.
 
I think i won't enter this.
Too many similar shots in my folder and i'm out of idea for this. :indiff:
Should do this earlier.

You might want to resize your preview to less than 500 pixels per side to match with the competition rules. You preview image must be able to link to the full size image as well.

How full is the HD? I found everything slowed down dramatically as my HD got closer to capacity. I upgraded mine to 750G just recently and it was a lot faster afterward. I think it was the backup and restore process that killed mine though as I had over 250G of data to backup which took over 7 hrs and then the restore was more like 9 hrs. The PS3 just gets too hot in a 7 - 9 hour stretch and that's what kills them.
If HD space is an issue I would suggest upgrading the HD - using as big a drive as you can. At any rate if you feel the PS3 might be on it's last legs, it's a good idea to do a backup at least. If it does die then you can restore everything to a new PS3 and not have to start over.
 
Get an intercooler, they are cheap as chips. They plug into a USB slot and have a whole heap of fans to really pump air through the PS. Some even have extra USB slots on em.
