I've always been a huge fan of DarkR, the tones, composition and editing style
of his shots were what inspired me to take it up in the first place.
Scout around a few pages of his gallery and you just can't help but be in awe of the guy.

This shot is an homage to his style in general - the great use of vignettes
and subtle flashes of colour, alongside a very cool subject matter.

I hope he sees it and approves!

Andrea inspired me in many shots too, but this one I've done because of wallbreakers style.
He did a lot of this, but way better than me. 👍

Yeah, he really had some unique stuff. Miss him too :(
But we still have many germans in here! He's like Schumacher, retiring, but we still have some Vettels and Rosbergs! So thats Ok.... :D

Nice was wallbreaker's the one with the glowing red alloys?

I wanted to use one of your shots as inspiration mitch but i don't know how to find the difference between low lighting editing as you do and just a dark photo:yuck:, i can't vignette on GIMP either:guilty:.

And idk if wallbreaker did the pick you mean, I think this was andrea. But if you google wallbreaker and gt5, you may find some of his work there pretty easy. ;)
 
@zzz_pt - I don't think that one is permissible under the rules my friend. The rain effect, reflections, and artistic filter are not allowed in 2.0. Nice shot though! Also, the rules of this weeks comp require you to provide the shot yours was inspired by.

Inspired by GT HP Nut, and his Man Behind the Wheel theme. I think its important to remember that without drivers, cars would be just really big pieces of abstract art.
