Further explanation of the theme, which is provided by TVR&FF:

The highest class of sports car racing the past decade, there's a fair selection of LMP cars
available to you this week. TVR wants to see them either during night, or day, so go on!

CARS: LMP cars only, 2001 and newer
LOCATIONS: Circuit de la Sarthe
PHOTO TRAVEL: No
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: All cars visible in shot must be 2001+ LMP's. Eligible list here!
Along with that, no dawn or dusk shots are allowed.

  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
    [*]One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
    [*]Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
    [*]You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
    either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
    [*]When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
    [*]Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
    [*]A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
    [*]Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 20. Every fourth
    week, the poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", and the best from each
    poll faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
    [*]Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

What you may not do to a photo:
  • Alter the geometry of the car. No stickers, or body modifications not available in game.
  • Add shapes or objects from outside of GT5, signatures excepted.
  • Remove items from shot (scenery, other cars).
  • Use more than 1 image (HDR, photo-stitching, multi-exposure).

What you may do to a photo:
  • Crop and/or resize an image.
  • Adjust the level or curve values.
  • Alter the colour tone of the image (gradient maps, photo filters, colour balance, etc).
  • Adjust brightness, contrast, exposure, shadow/highlights.
  • Enhance shadows or highlights (dodge and burn tools in Photoshop, for example).
  • Add noise and/or diffuse glow.
  • Add a post-game tilt-shift blur, or apply a motion blur to a stationary Photo Travel shot.
  • Make use of Layer Blend Modes.
  • Use a Sharpening filter and/or tool.
  • Scale or enlarge rims.
  • Remove or modify license plates.
  • Remove the GT watermark.
  • Add a personal signature.
  • Clean up or fix jaggies, texture pixelation, or colour separation.
  • Add a vignette effect.

Now that Kaede has provided a super-handy walkthrough for posting preview images that directly link to the full-size (instead of people putting the text to link to it under their preview), I'm going to gradually begin to phase that in as a requirement. Really, it's not hard if you can already manage the text link, and it makes posting 50+ entries a week much quicker 👍. I'll be updating the OP to provide a link to Kaede's walkthroughs :).
 
@ aidan8500: You can borrow one of my LMP cars via the share option.

@ kaede: What are the two cars in the background, because I can just make out one. Which looks like another Speed 8.
 
@ Gtuned: A blurred car is classed as a visible car, so if you are right. Then he would need to do a re-shoot or crop the shot.
 
I own none of these cars (got a 787B instead...), but I see some fine shots in the De la Sarthe Remote Race replays.

I think its Citroen GT. Actually I was the under impression that the picture must have more than one car cause it says "LMP cars only". Then I tried going for one make race and it gave me all Bentleys. Then I went one De La Sarthe A spec event and it didn't gave me the required cars. Then I played around with the word visible. I'll replace my entry if you feel it breached the rules. :) So one car pic is alright?
 
I am going to allow the R10 TDi Stealth, because it is still a LMP car.
 
I'm having all of them except one of the Pescarolo's. I will put them in my shared spots later today. If anyone has requests, just shout and I'll put it on shared. My PSN ID = BonkMeister
