i think this effect is called "satin" in the blend option if i am right

i think you mean the 'left' and yes it is deliberate but no effect was used, its captured at the point the car is exiting the tunnel and only the front part is in daylight

I think he means the furthest right part of the frame, there is a band that is a different colour to the rest of the shot, unless that is what you have meant by the car coming into the sunlight.

I like the effect of it coming out of the darkness though 👍

God dayym! I do not envy Zambuca this week one bit. Picking the poll is going to be tough!

I feel this has gone a bit overdue and Zambuca's online as well. So I'll just say that I'll have my entry in about 30 minutes. If possible.

Ok everybody I'm beginning to pick the poll soon so hurry up with those last minute entries I have to select a top 15 ... which is probably not going to be easy I will look for composition, general idea and editing...

EDIT: now that I have looked through ALL the GREAT entries for the first time, I can honestly say that I would like to pick more than 15 for the poll Some will be disappointed and some will be puzzled - some might even be a little angry. As a general rule I wanted the pics to have some kind of surreal feeling that would emphasize the concept theme. I have also put attention to how well the pics actually present the car. I like how the new kart track works as an exhibition scene - some better than others. A few had to be cut because they were made with phototravel.
Good luck everyone - I'm sending my top 15 to SlipZ in a few minutes...

Oh I see... if you full size it you'll see its a border all the way round, just less apparent due to the darkness.
