Further explanation of the theme, as described by GTracer98:

"You will have to recreate the Japanese manga in GT5. Buy the PDI Racing Kart 100 in blue,
put the number #30 and head to Eifel Kart Track in course maker. Even better if you'll have
your avatar dressed in blue with a white helmet. Photos can be multi-kart ones. Have fun!" ;)

CAR: Gran Turismo PDI Racing Kart 100 (the non-DLC one), has to be blue with #30 on it.
LOCATION: Eifel Kart (Course Maker).

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow
the rules may result in disqualification. If you have any questions, please, send me a Private Message.

This Thread has everything you need to know.

  • There must be at least some detail of the background (location) visible in the picture that
can later be identified to be part of the location specified in the theme. If the location is
not immediately clear from the picture you must provide the exact location if it's queried.
  • Only one entry per user allowed and must be that user's own work and never used in another
    competition.
  • Do not ask other members to choose your entry.
  • Entry post must be marked with a FINAL ENTRY text.
  • Entries may only be changed once and it must be indicated clearly.
  • Entries must be posted in either thumbnail or a preview and linked to it's full size.
  • Posts containing bigger previews than allowed, full sizes or links only will be ignored.
  • Previews should not exceed the limit of 500px in either direction and have any effect not
    present in the original image.
  • It's recommended the usage of a free image hosting service, such as ImageShack, Photobucket
    or Flickr.
  • Only the Judge's favourite 15 entries will get through to the poll.
  • Keep in mind that the Host of this competition may ask for the original image and it must
    be submitted if so.

It's recommended to store the original image (from the USB stick) until competition week ends.

  • No other editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed outside GT5 Photomode.

It's CCCCCNCL this week. :)
(Certain Car, Certain Colour, Certain Number, Certain Location) could add a CA (Certain Avatar). :D

Would be nice to have some information about that particular japanese manga... I don't know and probably I'm not the only one. :S

Oh yeah sorry - GTracer98 did suggest checking YouTube if you don't know this Manga but didn't provide an actual link - I'll see what I can find.

Someone give this man a job at a GTP helpdesk:tup:

Had a quick look on YouTube but can't find anything really relevant to this theme in particular. There are Capeta videos but I couldn't find one with a #30 blue kart/car - mostly a blue #63 formula car or a red formula car (with a red suit & helmet).
If anyone does find one with the #30 blue kart, if you could post a link here that'll be great. ;)

When I read Japanese manga I thought of Initial D. :guilty:

BTW, Nato, did you change the font on the banners?

Thanks ijkhk4 and Yauma9, I got heaps of Capeta videos when I searched but none were of the #30 kart - but anyway glad you found something. 👍

Yauma9 - yes I had to quickly change the fonts as something happened to the original fonts and they just wouldn't display in my editing program - I'll reinstall them later and hopefully they'll work again. :boggled:

final entry

CAPETA#30 Overtaking

ps: based my entry on the link that ijkhk4 posted.

Very nice entries already! I'm scared of the judging job already! :nervous:

How do you guys get so much light in this track? Exposure doesn't work for me.

If you set your time to 18:00 I think you cannot adjust the exposure. Set it before 17:30 and the exposure should work again.

My bad, I did the Racing Kart 100 instead of the PDI Racing Kart 100.
Yeah, I knew the original kart didn't have a headlight, but I knew the new karts did. I just assumed that PDI made the original kart have a headlight too via an update.
Oh well, working on a new shot now.

Here is my new
FINAL ENTRY

As it turns out, I didn't even have this kart,
which is probably why I used the wrong one. :ouch:
