TheDrummingKING was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week
ought to be a Manipulation Week.

TheDrummingKING also took out the public vote, and the theme he has selected is Funny Cars!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 21 Winner, TheDrummingKING:

Funny cars! I want to see the most ridiculous modifications, or simply something extraordinary done to a car!
Examples: 1, 2, 3

Be as creative as you can!

And remember...

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
    not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
    [*]Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
    [*]Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
    [*]When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
    "Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
    [*]The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
    Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
    [*]A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
    [*]A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
    race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

Excellent! I was just planning to do something like this for a bit a fun (and practice). :)
 
I'm glad you guys like it. :) Can't wait to see what yo guys can do!


Oh and, it's gonna feel weird for me to sit this one out! :lol: I might do one for fun. :) (I really don't have much else to do! :p )

iam working on my camaro but it looks like ....
 
Here's something that I started playing with the other day - am going to make a set of these for my gallery.
Not my Final entry however. (not funny car enough)

I love it! :lol: How do you do that? If you add onto that car (like a spoiler and flames? :dopey:) it would be a great entry. :)
 
Glad you like it - I guess I can always use as a fall back if any of my other ideas turn pear-shaped.
Actually really simple to do. Just select the car and resize it - in this case width by 80% height 100%. Paste onto a new layer. Cut and paste the wheels from the original layer and paste back to the new layer. Do the same with the drivers helmet. Extend background over the now protuding front and rear ends of the original layer and it's done. Really helps to have a straight and uncomplicated background though. :)
 
Guess I'm out of competitions for a long time... Thinking up an idea around the limited amount pictures that I have is harder than I thought...
 
I will update/change mine to an official entry at some point.
 
Should we keep this open another week? (If no one has entered) As I'm pretty sure I'm going to win again.. :lol:
 
Actually this probably should be extended as it is only open for 4 days as it is. Thread was started on the 14th and closes on the 18th. At least a few more days would be beneficial I'm sure.
 
Mmm this week was shorter than usual so that I could get the PS comp running back onto schedule (the past week or so it's been out of sync by a day in order to accommodate my holiday last week :p), so I'm happy to extend it out by another week if people prefer? I need to know that people are working on entries and such though, otherwise its just a waste of time!

I may flipflop on this yet, I think I prefer the McLamborrari but the Fiat 500 (BHP) is probably more in keeping with the theme.​

Please resize your preview image though - it needs to fit within 500x500 pixels!
 
Alright now I'll have time to work on my actual idea. :)
