Fido_le_muet was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week ought to be a Manipulation Week.

Fido_le_muet scored the win in the public vote, and the theme he has selected is Your Car in GT5!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 54 Winner, Fido_le_muet:

Take a pic of your own car and put it into a GT5 pic!
If you don't have a car yet, use your parents car or a friends.
The point this week isn't to brag about who has the best car so be honest and use your real car.
If you can't be too bothered to shoot your real car, find a pic of a similar car on the Internet, preferably as close as possible as your own (color, year, trim level...)
I hope this isn't too hard to do but I know you guys are good so you should be fine.



And remember... be creative and have fun!

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
    not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
  • Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
  • Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
  • When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
    "Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
  • The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
    Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
  • A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
  • A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
    race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

Nice theme! Question... I ride a motorbike so can I use it instead of a car? O.o

I'd say yes but since it's a GT forum, I don't know if it's allowed...
If you can put a car along with the bike, it should be perfectly fine :D

Personally I think I should win purely for actually openly admitting
on the world-wide-yonder that our family actually owns one of these monstrosities.

I've just realised the best camera I have is, well, not very good, so would it be alright if I used a photo from Google but provided a (blurry) photo of my actual car? (well, my dads :p)
 
Like I said in the description, you can use a pic from the Internet as long as it is as close as possible to your real car (or your Dad's).
But if you can snap your own pic, it's better :D (except if it's blurred :sick: )

That's how mine is - exactly the same model and colour, just a different number plate.

Might fix that actually... :dopey:
 
i'll try with my car, will try to correct details if i'll have some time.

How is the Fiat Multipla a monstrosity. I always thought that they looked absolutely awesome.

I had fun doing this, took me quite a while (and time can be hard to find with a 2yo daughter!) but im pretty happy with my first attempt :)

Haha - as above really... :dopey:

Don't get me wrong - it's a very useful runaround (3 abreast seating, loads of room, economical etc...) just a little bit erm... embarrassing to be seen in.

Luckily I got my car back from the shop after about a month. I bumped a deer back in November and I finally got it back today. :D
Now I can make my rare entry in the photoshop comp!
 
I have my GT5 shot ready to add my car into, only need to photograph my car but it needs to be a "sunny" shot and it's been raining solidly for the last three days with no sign of letting up. :ouch:
