I've never seen a poll so close together for being single vote only.

Again, sorry! And my vote did go to RetroGiant, dem colors on display there.👍 And SVX, if I should give some short feedback. Lower the exposure, and zoom out.

Will keep that in mind for next time, thanks.

Same here. Shame it´s not in.

Well, I´m not the judge but I feel the car is too much in the centre of the picture. Put it a little more into one of the corners next time and you should be fine, because from an editing point of view, it´s very nice ;)

I have to agree with with Wallbreaker, about the car being in the center.
Thanks guys, that really makes sense. ~Turtle

Ah, so you can't edit them. That explains some of it.

However, the picture being out of focus has got nothing to do with any sort of editing. If you look closely at your competition entry, you'll see that the focus point is actually on the rear air intake, when it should have probably been on the general frontal area of the car. That's why the image appears soft except the intake and the surrounding area. I'm guessing that's what slzk means.

As for the composition I actually prefer that of your competition entry more. I do like the cropping; like I said earlier, the car just needs to be higher up and further towards the left of the picture.
Ok thanks for the feedback:)
That's what I meant. And your picture looks pixellated in some ways. Maybe you could try uploading your photos using image-hosting websites, such as photobucket or flickr. That could be your problem with the pixellation/out-of-focus-ness.
I cant upload to image hosting sites because i cant get access to a computer and the ps3 browser doesnt support any:(, i spent weeks trying to resolve this but no luck.

What I forgot to mention: In addition, if you put the car in the bottom left corner, you can use the street as some kind of line to lead the viewers eyes to the car. It will make a huge difference ;)

can i have feedback from anyone please. is it too dark?

2.0 Week 60 by f1_stig, on Flickr

You've posted about this once already.

Yes, it is a bit dark, that's pretty much the main problem of the picture. I would've also preferred some motion in the pic (i.e. by lowering the shutter speed, you can then create a rig-esque shot by switching to Panning Mode 3) and the car photographed higher up in the picture. If you insist on including the starry sky you could perhaps bring the camera closer to the picture and then zoom out. This would give you a pretty extreme angle, but it may work with the motion blur the lowered shutter speed would give you. Finally, the fireworks in the background are too small to be a major composition element in the image, ultimately becoming more of a distraction.

And, sorry. But I do just find it preeeetty suspicious about the user rohinghai has 0 posts and just happened to register a few moments after the poll went up. /suspicious rant. Sorry for even taking this up, but I think most people will notice that I'm just slightly paranoid about these things.

Actually, there are two members with zero posts that voted for musical artist....:odd:

Also, both joined on the same date.

Anyway, although it is a bit suspicious, lets not start pointing fingers yet. On another note, I thought you weren't supposed to vote for yourself?

I do declare
that I definetely do not want to receive
any feedback on my entry
which did not make the poll.

Being judge in PMC week 60,
I learned to sympatise with all of you
who ever suffered the honour
to win any GT5 photomode competition.

Nevertheless, it's fun to compete…

It might be because I was talking about all the photomode stuff on GT5 with some friends on Facebook that play Gran Turismo. I never told them anything dealing with voting on me and stuff though, because that would be cheating.

I even fessed up about accidently voting for myself in this poll because I felt bad about it and rather be honest and feel better than lie and feel guilty, you think I would then go and convince other people to vote for me, I think not.

Sorry Musical Artist - some of us are just a little jumpy because of a prior incident with another former member of these forums. I'm sure you're good people, and I like your photo. :)

i am not Musicalartist and i am not "cheating" for him.
i honestly voted for the picture which i thought was the best.
i love the colors and contrast in his shot, i am a big fan of that kind of stuff.
sorry if it confused you guys that i had just joined.
LOL i dont even live in the same country as Musicalartist nor have i ever met him in person

thanks for debunking the suspicions roh! :p :odd:

and welcome to photocomp 👍 another maple leaf ;)

i liked this shot too, nice nite lights (except for the wee flare on the plate) and voted for it just after it went up, guess ceiling fan and slipstream are ok with the goof in his own vote as you and others have continued to select his image to vote for without a DQ. :D

haha thanks :)

Actually, the image will be DQ'd, just as all images that receive self-votes are. Being out of town, it's a bit trickier to edit polls via phone.

I appreciate Artist's honesty, but every other instance if this situation has resulted in a removed image. Failure to read a few bullet points before voting is not our fault.

To those who voted on it, please post your new choices in the thread.

Okay, it isn't that big of a disappointment now. I made it into a poll each week for the two weeks I've been on GT Planet, so this poll probably won't be the last poll I will make it into. Also, I now know that I will not be making the mistake of voting for myself again, learned that lesson the hard way.

Though, honestly, I am getting bored with just the photomode, 2.0 advanced, secret santa, and c.c.c.l. competitions. The one time that the 3.0 competition ran, I really liked it. I love doing very artistic things to photos that can possibly make them not even look like photos anymore(paintings). I would love to see 3.0 come back.

May I revote for entry 13? (the one that is actually winning)
I really liked that one.

By all means try not to sound too arrogant:tdown:.

I did sound a bit arrogant, but I wasn't meaning to be arrogant. I just believe that maybe it wasn't just luck, that maybe I do have some skill.

I am also moving on to much more artistic things than what is in the normal competitions. 3.0 was just right for me.

That's the spirit 👍. Your images are all quite good, so I imagine you'll be one for people to look out for in the polls :).

We'll see what's in store for the 3.0 idea, but I don't think we've seen the last of it, regardless of if it's rolled into the existing Official competitions, or not.

re-vote

zerox has such clean lines and crisp images all the time, my recast vote, even though it's last minute and moot, goes to #5 from the top. 👍

also, i don't understand why it has so few votes?

anyway... :p

Congratulations to jonjwlee, for what I believe is his first 2.0 win!

Well, I'll be damned.

If someone at the beginning of the week looked at the poll and told me that I'd top it by the end of it, I'd call him a right raving lunatic. There are several brilliant pictures up there, some of them I honestly think are above and beyond what I'd achieved, so this means a lot to me.

Congratulations to jonjwlee, for what I believe is his first 2.0 win!

Indeed it is. Thanks, Slip!

Congratulations jonjwlee!

Thank you, Primus!

To everyone who voted, thank you so much! 👍
