Well, it isn't supposed to be realistic, it is supposed to be purely artistic feeling. Like an oil painting on canvas or something like that.

Also, yeah, it is highly edited, but I tried to do what I could to keep it from being so edited that it wasn't good anymore.

yeah, your right, but, I just can't get myself away from those things. It is kinda my "style" of art. My pencil and charcoal drawings that I do are pretty much like that. Very high level of contrast with sharp edges between values a lot of the time.

I'm gonna try and get away from it, though it might take a lot of work to not do what I normally do by just "instinct".

There is nothing wrong in putting your own style in your own pics and I actually respect that, but sometimes it is way over-edited.

I think this is a pretty plain shot by your standards, Moglet. Sure it has good compositional qualities, but it looks like every other rig-style shot out there. To me at least, a good photo no matter the subject, should tell a story that may or may not be seen at face value.

Thanks for the feedback, it's definitely not a very 'in your face' photo but it was never intended to be. It was supposed to capture the feeling of drifting through the entire tunnel with ease very calmly compared to more aggressive drifting. But next time I'm going all out aggressive with mad tones and overexposed skies all the way.

It's more look like a ghost than a smoke. Very,very less smoke coming tyre than a real one could do.
Like i said, it's GT5 problem for making it like this.

In that case; it is a ghost. The ghost of my dead rear tires!

The only complaint I can think of is the top of the car is blown out, but other than that I love it. It borders on noire cartoon-ish art, which is awesome!

Perhaps it's the composition, or his recent trend of the "wet asphalt" look, but Dark's image isn't doing it for me this week. If the cars were framed in a different way, I'd probably like it more, and I do realize that them not being "perfect" adds to the realism, but I'm leaning towards some other images in the poll. Benmastaw00t's looks like the opening scenes from a beautiful art film; Aragam's simple, foggy symmetrical image hits the spot; Fishy's is one of the best low-aperture full 3/4's I've yet seen; and while it may be "played out", jonjwlee's Aston shot is gorgeous, a fitting endnote to an exceptional poll. My vote will go to one of those four... I just don't know which!

ZEROX had an exceptionally tough week for picking a poll, and I can think of a dozen images that should be there instead of mine. Thanks for picking it though, Z, and thank you to those who've voted for it so far

I don't know why, I don't think anyone else agrees with me on this - but I just don't see the thing in DarkR's entry. It feels a bit flat, it's nice with all the cars, but I feel that there is something missing that keeps it from being up to his usually insane standard. And my vote went to jonjwlee, fantastic, his entry is.

And damn, only 6 votes behind. It was like 10 when I last checked.

There are tons of artistic and unique shots in this poll, but they mostly draw only a few voters to their side.
Realism on the other hand, it's like.....like, chocolate chips brownies! Everyone loves it!

But I agree with Slipz and Fishy, its not your best shot DarkR. It lacks something. But still enough to beat us all! 👍

Not a bad shot though but because the 'feeling' of the 2D is there, it goes downward.

Not until i look at your gallery on why you name it 'Silent Hill', now i feel the chill.
Could belong to the poll because people hardly potrait this in the competition.

That's the particular word that describes why I decided to choose the Citroen 💡 I was trying to be different than everyone else but it looks like I've manage to...

Your entry should have it place but there were many shots that are hardly potrait by the people so that's the priority first. I don't say your shot is bad.

The feeling of speed. I really, really love this but it's overexpose and the camera felt too far for me. That just it. Other than that, nothing to improve. 👍

Too dark but you can make it exception by switching on the front light of the car. I get the feeling of intimidation though.
Doing that would make me consider twice before decide to ditch your entry.
