"Some of you may know of the GoPro action cameras that can be mounted on various surfaces for recording action video in a first person view. For this week, make a shot as if your camera is mounted on your car. It can be on any outside surface of the car as long as some of the car can be seen. Get creative with the situations, such as swerving away from a crash, passing your rival, blasting through a scenic route etc. Here is an example of the view: example."


CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: No
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Your car must be in motion. Also, some noticeable part of your car should be seen in the shot, to convey that your camera is attached to it.

i agree that part of the poll is epic, but i must say that some of the poll shots tell that the camera is placed at an angle which by no means on the car, especially the XK shot and the Citroen C4 shot

Great poll - but I do agree with this. Some of the camera positions are a bit 'Outrun'.

I liked this shot but I had to pick the one of the nascar shot with the similar situation in place of this, because that one seemed more realistic, and the action was closer to the camera.

2.0 is really tough

This one is fits the theme, but unfortunately I don't sense enough motion/action to make it stand out from others. I also think the mirror also too much of the attention.

And regarding the two entries mentioned that don't seem to fit the theme, I will take the blame for not clarifying throughout the week that I wasn't looking as strongly at the mounted on car the part as I was to the motion/action part. Also, who knows, maybe the camera was falling off in these situations somehow? The tremendous shocks of off road surfaces (for the C4 shot), and the slippery surfaces caused by rain (xkr shot) combined with weak mounting could lead to such possibilities. Again, sorry if this seems unfair, but I had to make a decision after staring at the entries for a little over 2 hours.

It has speed, but more speed would have been worthy enough to make the poll. As well as decreasing the amount of spin to your rims. They are too bold in this guy's opinion.

Yes there is speed and it is a good shot, but the background motion wasn't enough. Also, I tried to keep the poll diverse by not including too many wheel closeup shots.

cool theme, wish i could still play gt5. I chose the one that most looked like a gopro frame capture. Some are really good photos but aren't wide/close to the car enough.

Well a mounted GoPro would be traveling the same speed as the x1 so the x1 shouldn't be blurry.👍

The other thing is that I can't easily tell if you are moving or standing still, based on the road and the red and white stripes. I didn't see any action in the shot.
