Has there ever been more excitement about a tournament poll than this time?
Doubt it.
I guess I'll miss Poll Launch. My friend is having a few problems and I need to help. I expect it'll be up in a few hours, right?
Sounds like everyone is leaving just as I am showing up for the party.

Bonne nuit. Je suis très fatigue.Je ne suis pas fatigue. Il est cinq heures ici. Bonne nuit Fishy. Parlez vous à demain.
Well now, this has flown off-topic. Try to reel it back in, guys!
I'll try to pass the time, in a related way: the "dead air" time between thread creation and poll creation is something I've tried to minimize. I have the slight advantage of being a member of staff, so I can post without the required time delay between posts (so H2H polls always end within about a second of each other), but for polls...
I have a text file for each week's poll, with the URL and IMG tag stuff, and the username below it, a blank line, then rinse and repeat for the whole poll. This serves as a handy reference for any self-voting, and also means that once the thread itself is created, the only thing standing between it and the poll going live is ([Shift+End]+[Ctrl+C]+[Alt+Tab]+[Ctrl+V]+Tab+[Alt+Tab]+Down+Down])^25 (or 15 for 2.0, or the smaller amounts for H2H weeks). That's usually only about two minutes between thread creation and poll creation, including typing the poll title, checking the necessary options, and previewing to ensure there's been no copy/pasting errors when I collected the submissions from peoples' posts (sometimes a [/CENTER] tag or something will get in there).
Yes, I'm a bit of a nerd about the polls, but I love me some efficiency
