I love that RX7 with the fence :D Looks like a spectator shot. But I absolutely understand the arguments and choices of the judge. It's awful to be the judge btw :lol:

there's at least 1 shot completely irrealistic in the poll :)

this topic is much much more than it seems, and the judging is very difficult from what i see.

I think that the exclusion of this shot was my personal taste. I didn't like the angle or composition much, thought the toning, colours, and lighting were very good.

I didn't know it myself until I judged this competition!

The dark pictures (or washout) thing - I gotta wonder if that is a problem of screen quality and/or calibration between users. You mentioned one entry was way too dark, but I had no problem seeing the subtle differences in the dark areas. Sometimes I do have to re-tilt the laptop screen I now use to get a better contrast - I used to use a desktop with a well calibrated CRT.

Kinda frustrating not knowing how others are seeing things, but that's the nature of it. I got nicked for darkness too (although the shot wasn't fantastic anyhow), any lighter on exposure and it lost the intensity and looked flat on my screen. FYI - Didn't use a warm filter either.

Nice of you to give feedback on the ones that didn't make the cut. Very helpful!

It's more of my opinion on having one person pick select entries to be polled upon.

Seems like a pretty silly way to do it.

People think I'm just being a complainer, so be it.
Go ahead and have that opinion of me. I could care less.

But, to put so many restrictions on a supposedly "fun" competition (as said by a previous poster) kinda takes the fun out of it.

It's not that hard to include all entries in a poll. Might take an extra 5 minutes at most. Big whoop.

I would disagree with this. I've been to your gallery, and some of your shots are great! The shot you entered is good, however, I didn't think it was a realistic or as good as some of the other entries.

Also, congratulations to StrayShadow for his well deserved win! :cheers:

Yep .. Even i didnt win any until my second entry.. đź‘Žđź‘Ť (tight round and got lucky )
