Further explanation of the theme, provided by Boabdulrahman:

"Aperture is a major feature in every camera and in GT5 photomode you have the liberty
in changing the F number as you wish. If you want close-ups low aperture is good for example,
and for landscapes high aperture is better. So, choose your side wisely and take some pics!"

CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: F1.0-F8.0 are Low Aperture. F11.0-F45.0 are High Aperture

Well, nice shots but kind of disappointing.

Please click for big
Any feedback?

I'd say it doesn't look like very low aperture. Then again most of the shots in the poll don't either. I guess you're in the "good but unlucky" group with me.

Actually, go to the "Actions" tab on Flickr, and go to "Look at Exif Info". It says the apature is f/1.0, which is the lowest possible apature on the game.

Feedback please?

I don't want to be rude or anything but I don't understand how some of the pictures up there made it to the poll while some others which were much better didn't. But, really, no offense meant.:)

It seems like you're making an offense to yourself actually. Saying by it sounds, there were many rejected photos way better than yours and you weren't anywhere near to entering the polls. :sly:

Join the club. :)

Sorry, what I meant was, it doesn't appear to be low aperature.

Any feedback on this? I get the feeling I should have waited for a more fitting theme to drag this one out..

I'm sorry if you got me wrong but I didn't say at any moment that my picture deserved to be there:indiff:. I only said that there were pictures that deserved to be there instead of others.

There were more entries in this category than the other that mine was not here...

I intended my comment to be a bit of a joke including a laugh.

Oh ok. Still i would like to get some feedback of my photo. I'm guessing I went wrong with the car selection. I was too lazy at the time to try and take a picture of a group of different cars instead of just going to practice and taking a picture of a group of the same cars:ouch:

I made the poll for the first time in my life :P !

ok what happened with this weeks poll? I see a lot of Macro photos, well mine didnt make it, which I know it is not as good as others that didnt make it... great pics hgrf93 & MusicalArtist.

could a get any feedback on my KODAK?

I know the car is orange it is Matte Orange, the same orage color you see on the C-Class commercial of the car the use for the crash test.

+1

Wow, a blurry red light is in the lead? For a game about cars, we're picking scenery over pictures of cars that could take it's place? I understand the concept of "Low Aperture" but sometimes "Must have a car in the picture" should be self explanatory. I'm not disappointed I never got my entry into the pool, I would be amazed to be competing in polls with my idol GT5 photographers - but I feel I'm more disappointed by the Judges final choices - considering.

👍

It's hard to pick a H2H poll because the judge is limited on space.

I like the Jaguar but it's missing something, whether it be off center and or b&w.

MusicalArtist, the car looks out of focus, it looks like you targeted the bricktiles and not the car.

I think the stop light is a brilliant shot. The theme doesn't say a car has to be in the shot.

And yes, I'm in 2nd place to a stop light

Don't forget the blurry lamp posts. But seriously, I completely agree. The other thing is that the ones that actually utilised the low aperture setting didn't even get noticed.

Oh also, does anyone have any feedback on my shot (first post)? Everyone else got some.

I know what you were going for. It was a good attempt but I thought that if you got more of the car it would be better. also, the focus on the TT was not the best.

The car was completely unfocused. The focus was on the ground. I don't have any other thing to say as it was a great shot, but the focus ruined the whole pic.

Good lighting. The focus was great, but a dozen of 599's don't make a good photo as it felt unrealistic and boring. also the 599 at the right was completely in the frame.
About the poll choices, 2/3 of all the entries were in the low aperture side and it was extremely hard to choose and make a poll with a great set of variety in them aswell of quality.

Any feedback on this? I get the feeling I should have waited for a more fitting theme to drag this one out..

Great detail in this shot, but I struggled to find anything special with it as the environment and car choice didn't help. But great shot nonetheless :)

Feedback?

Well, the sepia filter messed up the colours here as it doesn't work with the red. Also, the positioning of the car wasn't great. It's either half of the car or all of it. The empty set of land (other than the planes) didn't help either.

Too Boring??
I really liked this photo because of the detail it produced aswell as the realism in it. Actually it was one of the last to not make it. Nothing else to say really as it is a great shot.

Well the focus was bit weird here and the angle is a bit boring also. Struggled to find anything special as the other photos were better.
My advice to you is to try some "brave" angles and don't forget to focus on the car before taking the shot.

Thanks for the feedback Boabdulrahman 👍

I'm the bridesmaid again :grumpy:

I think you guys are missing the point. I didn't want the theme only centered on cars because I knew that the scenery in the GT5 tracks and locations had potential as you can see with the lamp posts and the traffic sign. I never have seen anything like these shots before and thought that they deserved a place in the poll as the low aperture was, in my point of view, used in a unique way.
In the end that's MY opinion, and of course many disagree with me.

Whoah, again i've made it :dopey:
Two polls in one week for such a newbie like me :sly:
