In my opinion the car washes into the colour of the tunnel making it seem a little flat

I would say the overall image is too dark, you need to adjust the exposure to at least +1.5 in order make the picture exciting. Also you can use the color tone of the "miniature" filter to make the car stand out, since you are doing a close up shot like that, the "miniature" effect would affect much of the overall composition.

Yea, I was kinda trying something like that and didn't know how it would look. But I appreciate the input man

There's a few problems with the picture that I see.

The biggest one would be that the entire photo is just too dark.
And using a close up angle like that, you may want to focus on the headlights instead of the side panel.
Also, I feel that there's an awkward space behind the car, or just that the framing is just wrong.
The car should have more space between the frame in front.

And that's that.

I liked your entry. The only problem I see, that bothered me quite a bit was the back of the car disappearing into the background.
Great picture, nonetheless!👍 And good luck for entering future competitions!
