Further explanation of the theme, provided by mazda787:

Mid-engine junior supercars. Really, that's all this is about; two of the finest
examples of the breed, the British wedge versus the Japanese
origami. Choose your side, and go forth!

CARS: Premium Esprit OR Premium NSX Road Cars
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: May show other cars, so long as one of the above are the focus (though not the rival car!)

Nice poll, and a lot of great shots that sadly missed the poll. And please, don't feel offended anyone - may I just, for the first time in a while, ask for a bit of feedback?

I just wonder a bit, since my major concern with it was that it would be too dark, too underexposed. And then I see that the poll has several cases of that, on my screen at least. So I'm just wondering 'bout that.

And my vote went to Leicht, with SVX as a very close 2nd. Great shots, both of you. 👍

SVX Your shot is Sublime  .Surprised Jacob didn't make it ,maybe it was the tilting but even that I feel adds to the Overall result of your Image.

Guys let me say it was really hard to choose the two polls this week. I literally spent about 1.5 hours in each poll trying to narrow it down to 12. Eventually, it got to the point where it was taking too much time out of my day, so I had to make decisions based on things that appealed to me in some shots over others.

What are your words about this?

It looks a bit confusing what the car is actually doing. It looks like it is going sideways, but there wasn't a real sense of movement to convey that. I liked your first entry much more.

Feedback please.

Nothing wrong with this shot, in fact it was one of the last ones I had to cut based on the small fact that the brightness of the wall took the focus away from the car's light.

Any criticism?

I flipped a coin for this and another picture (that is now in the poll). I spent a solid amount of time looking at this picture and that one, and I couldn't come to a decision. It had to be done because of the limited space in the poll.

Feedback for this? (I'm already guessing too dark).

I like darkness in shots when they add an artistic edge, and yours was definitely close, but yes, it was a bit too dark.

Feedback please?

The placement off the car is a bit off, and the front right of it is cut off. I think it would be a much better shot if the whole car was in the frame and the camera was positioned a bit lower and closer to the car.

I hate to say this but this was another one of the coin flip cases. The reason it wasn't a shoe-in into the poll was because I felt the scenery took up the majority of the picture, not because of any lighting issues. In other words I felt the car complemented the scenery, and not vice versa, which is what I would have liked (perhaps by showing more of the car). However, it is an excellent shot nonetheless.

It was a really tough poll to form and I spent as much time I could thinking about the shots. Please understand that I had only 12 spots to work with and so many great shots, I really had to make some picky decisions.

Oops, I seem to have missed the feedback train. Would it still be possible for me to get feedback on this:
I thought it was reasonable, though panning mode one isn't always popular. I admit that it isn't very notable without the blurring and selective focus.

Thanks a lot you guys. I tried something a bit different and I'm glad its paid off. :D

I think panning mode 1 is best suited for taking sideshots of the car as it curves around you. In a normal angle, it doesn't look good, that's why I had to remove your shot.

Late to the party but could I get some feedback? :dopey: Looking to make some effort into improving so like/dislike would be super appreciated. 👍

Okay, thanks for the feedback. I was trying to show the distinctive rear end of the car, but it didn't really work.

It's a nice idea for a shot, but the focus is on the side mirror instead of the front of the car (which appears blurred), which didn't make sense to me. Hope this helps.

It should, thanks. :) Not quite sure what I was doing with the focus there as it is a bit older shot but I appreciate the feedback. 👍

Technically speaking then, would it have been a better idea to focus on the bumper/headlight and use a longer f-stop to maintain some clarity in the background or go shorter and have it blur a bit? This is preference, of course, but opinions are good. :D

Congratulations RED3MON on winning the NSX side! Thanks for participating everyone!

Could I get some feedback on this?

I felt the positioning was a bit off. If it were more centered and the rear windshield wasn't cut off, it would be very nice.

Yes I think it would have been better with a lower f stop and a focus on the bumper/headlight.

Congratulations RED3MON for winning the NSX side.
