Further explaination of the theme as given by Jason~Bourne.

"Pick a Sedan/Saloon that can fit your small family and drive it around Trial Mountain. Make
sure everyone has fun!"

Cars: Any sedan or saloon in the game
Locations: Trial Mountain
Phototravel: No
Unique Restrictions: Cars must be sedans, cars that seat at least 4 people and have 4 doors.

Please note submitting entries is very different to the other competitions.

  • Entries for the competition must be sent to this weeks Judge Jason~Bourne Via
    Private Message and not posted in this thread, any pics posted in this thread will not be
    considered for the poll.
    [*]Your PM must consist of a link to the full size photo. You may provide a preview image
    no bigger than 500px at the largest side if you wish, however it is not necessary.
    [*]Your first entry will be your last, you will not be allowed to change your entry so be happy
    with it.
    [*]One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
    [*]Preview images if supplied can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
    [*]A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
    [*]Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 10.
    [*]Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
    [*]The Judge will select the top 10 entries and PM to the Host for the poll.
    [*]The poll entries will then all be hosted by me so that links cannot be traced to the owner
    of the photo. (I will create previews then if not supplied.)
    [*]The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
    It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
    [*]It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.

I am wanting to make this competition a weekly one so will need another theme for next week while
the poll for this week is up, so rather than just choosing one myself I thought I'd open it up to everyone
to submit a theme by posting it here. Later in the week I will randomly choose one for next weeks
competition. I will then give the person who submitted the theme the option of being Judge next week
or delegating the judging to me which would make them able to enter their own theme.
So lets see your ideas for next weeks theme. :)

For those who haven't seen this competition before and to refresh the memories of the rest of us - this competition was started by Fezz ST who had the idea for this style of competition after noticing that some votes in the photo competitions seemed to be based purely on who entered it, and thought it would be interesting to see how the poll goes when voting starts with anonymous entries.
This format appeared to work very well, however after week 3 Fezz got busy and didn't have time to keep it going. So in the interests of continuing this competition I have taken it over and will host from here on. I am continuing from where we left off at Week 4 with the winner of Week 3, Jason~Bourne to be Judge and executioner.
This now gives Tonilleshusband and bmxmitch their chance to redeem themselves (you know why) :sly: And on that note I will remind you that the format of this competition is very different to what you will all be used to so please make sure you carefully read all the rules and remember to PM your entry to the Judge.
I have decided to alternate the Edit rules weekly from PMC to 2.0 starting with a PMC edit this week. Also I've set the poll to the top 10 initially and will in due course increase it if we are getting enough entries in.
So there you have it. Go forth and photograph. :D

Good luck guys, shame I couldn't keep it going for the past few weeks, hopefully Nato will keep on top of it and get it more popular, might even blow the dust off GT5 and enter this weeks comp for kicks

Just four seat sedans? or do you mean four door sedans?
I've always called a car with two doors a coupe, regardless of whether or not it had four seats.

Agreed, 2 doors are Coupes and 4 (or 5) doors are sedans (or saloons). I came up with this idea months ago, so just copied and pasted.


So yes, it must have more than 2 doors

Cool idea :) Shame that we've just had a le mans theme cos its 20 yrs this week since the 787b won it there & that would have made a cool theme. Will have a think

Agreed, but not everyone has the 787B. I thought everyone must have a sedan of some form...;)

Well since this week is sedans, why not coupes next week? 💡
 
How about Birds Eye View for a theme, shots mush be from above. I think that an outside of the box theme would work really well because you cannot copy other's ideas.

Its also funny because i had something similar in mind.

Silhouettes
show the car with the nicest Silhouette in game. Shot needs to be taken frome the side of course.


But for now, I need to find a nice Sedan first...:sick:
 
i was always thinking "if i win at any comp. i would like to see any car with "door" air intakes focused"

after failing to win any comp it might be useful here :)

I've sent my entry in, my first time entering a Secret Santa comp so should be interesting to see how I get on. Thanks for taking the time to run the comp Nato_777, my suggestion for a theme is Long range focal lengths i.e. shots with a focal length over 100mm.

EDIT: On reflection it should probably be 400mm +

Nice :) It will be fun to tear a big sedan around trial mountain! Looking forward to doing this.

Ideas for a new theme: Light weight or Heavy weight. Stock cars below 800 kg or above 2000 kg (Will have to check my garage to see if these numbers could work).

It's my pleasure. I really liked this comp and was sad to see it slipping away so I figured why not host it myself?

I thought it was the other way around? Like, full size isn't mandatory, but you have to have a preview. Otherwise how would we see it in the poll?

In order to keep the identities of the entries anonymous I will be hosting all the poll entries on my photobucket account and will create the previews at that time if one wasn't supplied. Full size isn't really mandatory but is in your own best interests for people to really appreciate your work. :)

Speaking of focal lengths, how 'bout a 14mm a la Fisheye comp?
 
My entry has been sent. A theme suggestion from me would be, rims. Get the best shot you can from your rims. Not sure if it has been used though.

It has been used in the PMC comp. But it was a fun theme, so a second time....why not ;)
