This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it;
    it makes poll creation much easier!
  • No post-GT6 editing, besides proportional resizing and rotating, is allowed.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
  • Absolutely no hybrid, hacked cars, or cars obtained through such means.
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text. On H2H weeks, which side, as well.
    Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:     [COLOR="Red"]FINAL ENTRY[/COLOR]
  • You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
    either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
  • Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 30. Every fourth
    week, the poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", leading to two 15-picture,
    4-day polls. The winners from each faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
  • The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
    It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
Failure to follow these rules will result in ignored entries and/or disqualification!

Competition News:
On the eve of E3, and with us hitting the big 125 milestone, I thought now was as good of time as any to make this announcement: this will be my last week as host of the GT6 Photomode Competitions. It's been a constant for over 5.5 years, but my job as Editor-In-Chief of the blog means I can't dedicate the necessary time to it.

@Nato_777 will be taking over in the interim, as he's been an exemplary pillar of the community with the competition hosting for nearly as long as I've been doing it!

There are plans afoot for the inevitable GT Sport iterations of the comps, with some changes to the formula. We'll talk about that closer to November.

I'll be popping in from time to time to keep an eye on things, and close/sticky the threads. A big thank you to Nathan for offering to take the reins, continuing to serve what's easily my favourite part of the GT community. Thank you to all of you for making these so much fun over the years.

I am new(ish) to the photo/competition forums on GT6/GTP anyway, Having known @Nato_777 for a while now over on the PS4 Drive Club photo forums I am sure he will do a marvellous job taking over here and I can see the hard work you have both put in over the years, just running the weekly DriveClub competition myself with Nathan's help and advice I know how much time it takes up, So appreciate the work you have done @SlipZtrEm and look forward to all your News items regarding the upcoming GTSport :) 👍:cheers:

what a mighty Job you did constantly for this community all over the years!
Well done and honest respect from my side.

Nathan will take over and he is aware of the job with all the work and time to be invested.

A big thanks to you Kyle for all the effort you have put in over the years and for all your patience and help when I was just starting out with competition hosting and had questions for you every five minutes. ;)
The success of the photomode competitions and community is in no small way attributed to you and your management of the whole process. :bowdown:
Now you can take a well earned break from the comp hosting duties and focus on bringing us all the goodies from E3. :D

@NinjaDesignz Being from England I always thought Corvettes were 'muscle cars' heavier than most cars over here!:ill:..If it is not ok I can change it but what Car is a 'muscle car heavyweight then' ? Is this allowed? @Giulietta73

Camaros, Mustangs, Cobras, Chargers (old), Cudas, and Challengers are considered muscle cars. Anything that weighs more than those cars are most probably heavyweight imo

Yeah, I'm in agreement with Ninja here. Also, I didn't want to exclude the Lotus Carlton or Tom's Chaser, the BMW M5 or the Merc C63 AMG.....big cars like those are all welcome in this comp:tup:

Thank you Kyle for running PMC for long as you have and thanks to Nathan for stepping in as I'm sure the transition will be seamless 👍

In other news my PS3 won't start so I'm gonna replace the memory card and see if it resolves the problem otherwise I'm afraid that's it for me and GT6 :(

For now I'll participate with some oldies ​
