Further explanation of the theme, provided by first-time winner cphbullet:

"Both of these cars were produced in stages, each becoming my dream car with
the 2nd generation, so take them out to my favorite tracks and find me the shot
that will end up on my bedroom wall."

LOCATIONS: Mt. Aso, Toscana, Cote d'Azur, and SSR5 only!

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Must only show one or both of the above cars!

This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it;
    it makes poll creation much easier!

  • No post-GT5 editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed.
    [*]One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
    [*]Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
    [*]Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text. On H2H weeks, which side, as well.
    [*]You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
    either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
    [*]When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
    [*]Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
    [*]A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
    [*]Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
    [*]Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 25. Every fourth
    week, the poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", leading to two 12-picture,
    4-day polls. The winners from each faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
    [*]Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
    [*]The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
    It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
Failure to follow these rules will result in ignored entries and/or disqualification!

It's been awhile since we had a standard car theme for PMC. :p​
 
Now that I'm home I should add, I have all 3 colour variations of the viper and almost all colours of the Chevelle so if anyone wants to borrow one theyre up, I will change the chevelles around later in the week.

Just out of curiosity what do you guys think of the theme, i was hoping people would like it because its restricted and challenging. Obviously this as a 2.0 theme would be more ideal than a PMC but i just wondered what everyone thought?

I would suggest allowing the '02 Viper GTS in as well

on the other hand cph, do you happen to have the viper you specified on share?

i believe cphbullet himself would not want what you said to come through, but conversely there are crappy shots of premiums (like my entries) and wonderful shots of standards. so it should be available as an option IMO.

I don't think so; Nice one Slip. How did you get so close to a standard though?
 
Just so everyone understands my reasoning, its like Kyle said i chose not to allow the 02 version because i know the number of entries containing it would be massively more than those of the chevelle, that and the fact the 99' version is my favourite car not the 02 version (thanks to PD not allowing the blue with white stripes colourscheme).

And yes i have all 3 colourschemes for the 99 viper (red/silver, silver/blue, black/silver) so add me if you want to use one, they're all up for share :)
