I think i might pull out of this series, it was fun but it looks like people have compatability issues with others. Plus for me the cars are too slow, i much prefer the FGTC so i might concentrate my efforts on that
 
How you lot managed one stop is beyond me, I drove it pretty smoothly and it still tore my tyres to shreds after 10 laps.

I'd take over for you mate but i'm in too many series already. Why were you thinking of dropping it?
 
I dunno, i was quite bored.. maybe raise pp?
 
I maintain it was the track. GVS is boring. simple as
 
There's much worse in my opinion, it's a testing track that's for sure.
 
Not a racing track. If we did Sarthe I reckon it would have been better.
 
When I say testing I mean 'tricky' not as in 'for testing cars'. But Le Sarthe is looking like one of the better tracks on schedule for these cars.
 
I love these cars but maybe change tyres to racing hards if people find it boring!

Also thanks for letting us race with such short notice, didn't realise I had rigidity improvement on 2D is this allowed?
 
May I also add I think the time is a bit inconvenient for GMT players, :lol: it is a bit late to be up and doing a long race.

The most eventful moment of my race: Had a 12 second lead at the start of lap 13. By the final sector before the line I was up by 15 seconds. I span out of the last corner and narrowly missed sliding into the pit entrace. Instead I managed to slam it into the end of the barrier at the start of the pitlane entry. I just about managed to hold onto first ahead of Tom while my tyres were still dirty and I had damage.
 
Well I started 6th and dropped back through the pack due to the Chappy's lack of acceleration. But I moved through the first corner carnage and managed to hold onto 4th place. After a lap or two behind Rich I managed to get past and held that place until Spurgey pitted.

I was behind Joe after his accident and we both preserved our tires to the point where we could go one stop, we pitted simaltaneously at the end of lap 16 and rejoined mid pack. We both moved up through to 1st and 2nd again as everyone else made their seconds stops. Joe pulled out a lead and I managed to hold Spurgey off and preserve my tires to the chequered flag. Very happy with 2nd 👍

Ok I must be entirely honest and admit that by lap 8 I was totally bored. I would suggest to whoever takes over that they reduce the laps a little and maybe switch to sports tyres.

It wasnt the track Ellis because GVS is awesome!
 
Just had a look at the fuel loads left at the end of the race. Jag and Ford seem to use the most fuel, then the Ferrari, and then the Chaparral.
 
I started 5th, at the start Smithaz's car was at a dead stop, so i ran into the back of him, went from 5th to 11th :(
I fought my way up to 8th and overtook people as they pitted, and ended up 6th, i nearly caught hancock at the end as well.

Pretty uneventful, my ass went num and was pretty bored.
 
So you're cancelling this buddy? I doubt anybody else will take it on, looks like it'd be finished.
 
I dont see why someone wouldnt, it seems that 7 or so people had a good time racing.
I will cancel it if I have to and start a new project but all the hard work has been done it would just be a case of copy/paste onto a new thread. Check on the drivers that want to stay and bobs your uncle. Ill wait to see who will take over as host before I do anything mate. Congrats on a great finish 👍
 
Thanks mate 👍 I'm probably the only other guy here who's organized a series, but as I said I haven't got enough time on my hands :(
 
Something this simple is easy though. I am not trying to convince you, just saying that anyone with a mic could do it, someone might offer

Think this could be a good series nothing wrong with cars and you had a lot of starters! Why not stick it out for one more week!

Maybe tweak settings, use sport softs on current PP or increase PP and use racing hards. Also think few may of dropped out due to late start, could try an hour earlier.
 
Why dont you take it on mate?
It doesnt take long to do, its all set up. You can have my spot in the table and recruit a few drivers. 👍
 
I told you guys!!! To have fun in these cars you need sport hard or comfort softs i did laps to compare and those are much like the old tires. Plus you get to appreciate them and the drivers more for badassness.
On another note if tyres dont change to any of those two im gonna withdraw from this series. I didnt really have fun driving these cars on such grippy tires.
 
We need to find a new host bro, I feel bad for you guys. I know some will leave but its all ready, you could host it Skate and change the tyres :lol:

I would abolish the PP limit and go with stock classics run at their default PP. No turbos or superchargers...... This might level the playing field out. The PP system is broken, thats why its not used in Super GT series', or the GTP Le Mans Prototype series.
 
I dont have the connection or the consistency as im usually doing stuff on the weekdays.
