Club Rooms vs Friend's Room

When in online lobby, if you search for a Friend Room the rooms that are started as Club Rooms are not showing up in the Friend's Only list. Should there not be an automatic link between the two?

I think that if a club is setup as private then only those people who join that club race in it, but others can race if they are invited via the community features. I don't think being on the friends list is enough. I might be wrong on this, but I played around with the community features yesterday and that is the impression I have formed so far.

It seemed a very clunky / half finished - again I might be wrong, but I got the impression that you invite people to join your club one at a time.

I should have added that I am a member of the club that was online. So, to summarize. The person I was looking for is a friend and I am part of the club. I sent him a message from the XMB menu (just find it easier than jumping out of lobby) to see if he wanted to start a room. He replied when he had opened the room. I went looking for it, was only visible through the club option, not the friends option.

I know this may be trivial, however, it seems backward that I can't see a "friend" from the friends only option. If I were able to see the Club Room but was unable to join due to lack of membership, at least I could have the option to join. It seems an unnecessary inconvenience, especially if there are a group of friends (not all necessarily on each others lists) online that are looking to congregate in one room.

p.s. I did request that the friend close the Club and create a regular room.

Just thought I would mention the topic in the remote chance that it might be noticed.

The option to display friends rooms only has always been buggy, sometimes it works & sometimes it don't. One update it's fine, & the next it's broken again.

I hosted a club lobby yesterday with a friend for a photoshoot. Much like hosting private lounges on GT5 it seemed very laggy indeed. It took well over a minute just to open the setting menu.

I stopped using "Friends" rooms because of lag and disconnection problems. We race in public rooms labelled private (in block letters) and the lag and disconnection problems are massively reduced.

It wouldn't surprise me if the "Club" rooms are just as laggy and prone to disconnection as the Friends type rooms - in which case PD have just wasted a lot of time on this feature.

I don't think I needed these community features, but I do need better options for hosts!

I found that private/club lobbies only seem to prove problematic for the host, in terms of loading times at least. I can see why that'd result in disconnections though.

It's a shame, because the feature itself I'd use a lot if it weren't for these problems.
