Clubsport pedals problem

I received today my cousin's csp but they have a problem. the brake is pressed 10% at all times making them unusable in iracing
another problem is i can't update the firmware. i'm getting the message: "no bootloadable device detected"
i'm sure some of you guys have encountered these problems. what should i do?
p.s. i'm running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

i've tried them on a 32bit windows 7 system and the problem disappears. i still can't make the update though.
mine being a high end pc, i can't be running 32bit windows. hope someone has an idea what to do...

If the brake is on slightly and it doesn't reset after you have unplugged and replugged then in a couple times then the load cell for the brake is bad. This is what happens when the load cell goes bad. The brake will be on slightly and it shows that way on the fanatec drivers. Mine has done that before but then I'll just unplug them and reset and everything goes back fine. If you you try that and it's still no good your going to have to get another load cell from fanatec. They are $15.
 
I had the same issue and it was the brake-PCB in my case.

The firmware can only be updated on Win XP 32-bit AFAIK (correct me if I am wrong).

FIRMWARE

If you experience problems with the deadzone of your brake and you want to increase or reduce it you can flash the firmware of your pedals with this updater. The updater only works on Windows XP 32 or Vista 32 but the pedals will work on all platforms afterwards. If the brake does not return to 0 after lifting the foot of the pedal you will have to switch to a firmware which has a higher DZ value or the brake needs to be re-lubricated. Please take care not to harm any cable connections!

i don't know how, but the pedals seem to be working properly now. i wasn't able to update firmware from a 32bit win xp though. i can't even find the latest driver. i have the 1.04 while the 1.07 at least is available.
