clunk on Throttle down

I've been running into this lately. if I let up on the throttle, my rear axle will clunk hard (even if Overdrive is on). should I check the rear end's gear oil level?

also, my 4wd shifs out hard if I shut it off coming out of a left hand turn (I have Auto Hubs). it ONLY does this when I hard left. I'm in constant 4wd use, on and off all the time, for my job, which requires entering unplowed driveways from a dry, clean road.

That happened on my Blazer. My rear leaf springs were bad (and quite loose) which made the axle twist and clunk really loud.

i'm in bad need of a rear suspension rebuild. how do these kids ALWAYS blow the rear susp out when they Radio-strip a vehicle

Radio-strip:to remove all carpeting, sound insulation, and interior panels to install a thousand watt boosed window-breaking sound system with woofers the size of the spare.
