Anybody fill me in on if the clutch pedal works as it should? (bite not at very bottom)
I'm getting a Fanatec 911Carrera wheel (ordered) and would love to know before I get the wheel.
Search only brought up GT5P threads so I'm sorry if I have missed another thread with this answer in.
Thanks

The clutch works but it is not a progressive clutch like a real car so most of the advantages of the clutch are gone.
I think it is a travesty that GT5 has been so long in the making and yet they have done so little with the steering wheel options I mean you can't even select wheel rotation or anything only FFB strength.
I really hope in the future updates we see more options with FFB.

No the bite is not at the very bottom. It is progressive but the biting zone is not very large so if you want to slip the clutch you need to have a fairly fine touch.

If he doesn't know how the clutch works, i doubt he knows what slipping the clutch means. Even i don't know what it means and i know how to use a clutch.

You don't drive a real car though right?

He doesn't know how close the in-game clutch is to a real life clutch. That's different to not knowing how a clutch works in real life. If he knows enough to ask about where the clutch 'bites' then he'll know about slipping the clutch.

BTW, I think the biggest advantage to having a clutch/H-gate isn't being able to slip it (we aren't towing anything here), its being able to go from 6th to 3rd to 1st etc... without having to go down (or up) sequentially.

For me it's just fun.

And to Jay, no i don't, I'm 15...

best part for me is to do heel and toe by myself.
I'm not as good as other players but I'm getting at it pretty fast I think :)
