I know this isnt about the game itself but hey. I would love to have an actual clutch pedal w/ the new logitech wheel.

And why not an "stick shifter in a classical H format" also?

Probably this is not the correct way to define the gear stick, but my 1st language is portuguese note english. Sorry about that gang!

Best Regards from Portugal

I think the wheel should have interchangable gear shifts.

Let me explain. Like a gear shift identical to a Lamborghini, or a free one, like in some Porsches where there's nothing keeping you from moving from one place to another. I think they should also have one's modeled after the cars in the games.

Like one released every so often.

I don't know about you all, but I think it'd be awesome if you were allowed to interchange your gear shifts during the game so you could get an even better feel of the car you're driving.

analog hand brake would be cool but not as cool as an H-Shift, or even a clutch, hell id be happy enough with just an H-Shift being implremented, a clutch would just be a huge plus.

They would probably have to make it have like an 8 speed or something, otherwise some cars wouldn't work with it. It would be a big plus being able to access reverse on the shifter, and then use the pedals instead of the full throttle triangle button on the DFP.

It would be very cool if there was a clutch pedal. I use manual gears and not having a clutch to depress does feel a little strange. I don't see there being a problem putting this into the game or Logitech making a three pedal set.

I would also love to see a gear shifter, but only if it was not attached to the steering wheel unit. I want to be able to have it on the lefthand side like it is in my car. I don't really see the point of having a 8 speed gear shifter when only a handful of cars would make use of it. But I see your point Ebiggs.

On top of the H gear shifter there would need to be the tiptronic paddles behind the steering wheel and the sequential gear stick we already have. If you put all that together the steering wheel and pedals would cost a bomb :(

while theyre at it, just make a whole steering wheel console complete with headlight control and windshield wipers.

as cool as it would be, i dont think its doable. some cars in the came a 3 speed, some are freakin 7, some have the shifter on the floor, some up on the steering column.

the clutch pedal however, would be sweet.

Well, on the shifter problem, make one with 8 speeds.
And with the shifting, the DFP now already allows you use the shifter or paddles.

I'd definetly like to have a clutch pedal and analogue clutch support in a GT game, A H pattern would also be nice but they would have to make sure it was in a more natural position, like maybe have it dertahced from the actual wheel unit.

The only problem with this is that it's beginning to seem a pretty specialist setup Ie something like Frex would do. Not only would this require someform of cockpit to properly position the shifter in which we don't all the space for or money to buy/time to build one but Logitech generally don't do specilaist equipment so i doubt we'll have a proper gearstick (at least a logitech one) for GT5.

However i see no reason why we shouldn't get a clutch, and i sppose it would be possible to have a H pattern as an Add on for the wheel so that those who have the menas to make use of it can do and those who do not pay no extra for something they wont be able to use.

As realistic the GT Series is getting PS/2/3 hardware will not evolve as much as the simulation.
A solution for this is if GT5 accept PC hardware, hey PS3 have 6 USB ports why not!
The problem is that PD has to implement this feature.

Even better.. force feedback pedals!

And an adjustable shift light.

And if you really want to go overboard... 'rumbler pad's you sit on, and feel the whole shaking business like with the force feedback wheels

Yes, that would be nice. We could actually use BRD hardware!!!!!!!!!!!
