preview:

We've now had a couple of successful engine recording sessions with a number of F1 teams, so I thought I'd release a brief recording from one of those sessions.

Sorry about the old Commodore Amiga backing music I wrote, but I had to add something to make the recording unusable for anyone else......

And no, please don't ask me which team/manufacturer this is from.... still... it's a nice sound isn't it (even if it isn't a V10!)

Enjoy,

m

After playing F1CE, this sounds way too plain. I know they're limited to 18k, but this doesn't sound right, it doesn't have the "ping" that F1 should.

Then again, I've never driven an F1 car.

Edit: Listening to it again (while I'm awake), I like it a little more.

The engine sounds about right, but what the hell is that background music?

EDIT: Misread first post :ouch:

I think game play is more important then sounds ;)
But so far so good... but lets see FINAL product.

lol thats the BG music we will be hearing ingame. thats a true test of skill to do 60 laps while listening to that the whole time. i think i would purposely crash out if that where true.

Sounds right, but where's the under load sound compared to free reving. There is always a difference in the induction/exhaust sound.

Sounds good but there is a sissing noice.

This is how PD should record engine sounds for GT5.
