Do you need "cockpit view adjustment" menu?

I want to make a suggestion for PD to implement a "cockpit view adjustment" menu.

GT5P cockpit view was smoother with little bit lower and further back camera position. I know that GT5 cockpit view is more realistic due shaking and more suited for good track visibility. But sometimes I just want more relax feeling, and see more cockpit for more in-car experience.

So what if they add "cockpit view adjustment menu" with +- up/down/forward/back, shaking, and FOV adjustments. I think it will be really cool since I always use the cockpit view. So what you guys think?
 
For the love of god yes! I can't take the ridiculous shake on most cars, if PD wants to keep the shake look at iRacing, the camera is still, it's the car that moves around!
 
I think they should for example......most rally cars have cockpits that are hard to see out of like the leob citreon has a horrible cockpit you can bearly see out of it. In that car you need to move the camera down i little
 
GT5 needs a lot of things to adjust. PC racing sims have this feature I think its called Turn to Apex, when you steer your steering wheel, the head will look in that direction for you. That way I wont need stupid cam to look left and right. Oh as well make that Hood adjustment, in the menu.
 
Just started using cockpit view. As I don't play many other racing games, I am enjoying cockpit view. I do remember import tuner challenge having it, and you could look left and right with the other joystick. Cool, but unneeded feature. I think the gt5 cockpit view is pretty good.

Do you play GT5P? Cockpit view is different but very cool too! See on Youtube :)
 
On some cars, it is not possible to use the wing mirror because the camera is not positioned conveniently. Being able to adjust the camera +/- a few centimeters in any direction shouldn't be too hard to implement, I think, so maybe PD will get around to it. It's not really that much of a problem for me though; there are many more things I think PD should deal with first before doing anything about this particular issue.
 
I think the cockpit view is ok. However the cockpitview of the GT by Citroen Race Car has to be changed, you can't see anything through that. And when it's raining you can't use it at all
 
I need manual adjustment option. For my personal taste, the camera is too close to the windschield and the FOV is too narrow.

In PC sims, I always change it to see most of the steering wheel and the feet and much more of the passengers side.

And of course an option to disable the shaking screen.
 
Similar to the PS eye feature, by tracking your head you can move up/down, side to side, and it feels pretty relaxed....but i agree, there needs to be more adjusting option to move the camera back.
 
We do need a cockpit view adjustment, for example: DFGT out, beer by my side, cruising around in my Caterham with hood view is amazing, good racing all the way. Then I decide to spark up my 787b. Different kettle of fish entirely, cockpit shaking everywhere.

We should have the option to tone it down a touch as it get distracting. In real life when driving, the road is NOT shaking about everywhere even if your car is. Your eyes are focused on the road ahead, so it ends up being the car and your body moving, but certainly not the road.

Try the Caterham to see what I mean. Pure awesome to drive.
 
I also want my driver's head to turn to the direction I am steering. 20-30 degrees would be good and help a lot :)
And it could be adjustable to meet every player's need.
 
Yes we really need this. You are sitting too close to the steering wheel and the only thing you can do is to move closer. The camera in GT5P was absolutely perfect in my opinion. It would be awesome if we can have that as an option.
 
Today I was doing many seasonal events and I really got annoyed by some cockpit camera positions. For example Honda Civic - nice view - you can see road and cockpit, but in Mclaren F1 (best visibility) camera looking way too high. I see all sky but very little of the road (like a driver looking bit high, not on the road before he's eyes). Second thing is cockpit shaking too much. It's great in some situations, like you feel the bumps, but it's VERY distracting on some cars (virtually unplayable). So I were very angry and has switched to bumper cam...

Totally agree with the OP, I also agree with the "look to apex" option. In fact PD should look at the options for PC sims like GTR2 and GTEvo. I'd like to be able to move the cockpit view WITHOUT changing the outside view FOV too!!
