Cockpits... Are they worth it?

I get in the groove easier and quicker/don't really lose focus in mine as I'm enclosed around my sides, so in my opinion, yes. Better seating position, too. If you build your own, you can build it to your body, which is what I did. Only problem is my friend can't really fit in it, because he is three inches taller with much longer legs.

In a word, no. My lap times in my $1000 rig are marginally faster than those I set with my old DFGT hooked to a raggedy desk. Cockpits are more for making the gaming experience more fun and realistic, not necessarily making you faster...

What I've found with cockpits was exactly what I was looking for, the back pains that I had with the study chair when I played for long periods have disapeared. And that's worth the 600€ invested...

Apart from this with the improved stability of the wheel and pedals I might not be faster but I'm more regular since the pedals don't slip away from my feet anymore

So in conclusion I strongly recomend cockpits
