AutoBlog UK: Can you explain more about the difference between premium and standard cars in the new GT5?

Yamauchi: Standard models won’t have an interior view, less detailing and no crash model. The problem is that premium models take a lot of time to create and we wanted to include many more vehicles than before. To make premium versions of all the cars we want to put in would take ten years or more and I don’t think people are prepared to wait long!

Will GT5 have all cars wit cockpitview. becaus i don't drive on the other vieuws. it wil be a very big disappointment if alot of cars does't have that camaraview :(

I heard that artical was removed because the translation was inacurite, and that they confirmed cockpit views for all cars long before that interview.

Aw, man. This discussion is so old and played out that it won't last too long.

However, I will be your saving grace. All that KY is saying is that standard cars won't have an interior view (meaning you won't see the hood pop open, the trunk will not open, etc. By interior, it means the innards, the guts of the car)

With that said, all cars will have a cock-pit view.

And lastly: interior view =/= cock-pit view.

Ok, close up shop now.

Blimey, how many times does this need questioning?

  • Cockpit view is exactly that, a view from the drivers seat showing the mirrors and dash. All cars will have this.
  • Interior view relates to panels coming off the cars, so when the hood/bonnet flies off you can see the interior of the car (i.e. the engine bay), or in the case of a door flying off, you actually see inside the car. Only premium (i.e. race) cars will have this level of destruction and modeling.
Even if I'm wrong, I only like cockpit view for its eye candy anyway. Once I've seen it, I'll be straight to hood cam which gives me a far better sense of speed and car position.

Locking as we don't need another one of these cockpit vs interior view discussions.
